Volunteer Driver for Elderly and Disabled

Volunteers have the opportunity to provide transportation to elderly and disabled in need in this volunteer driving program called Making the Ride Happen. Volunteers would help clients stay connected with their doctors and community and remain independent. Time and commitment level are up to the volunteer (once a week, once a month, on call, or as needed). Assignments are half-day, morning or afternoon. Additional Requirements: Potential volunteers will be required to submit a background check and will be asked to use their own vehicle and carry the minimum auto insurance (drivers are also covered by the program insurance) after it has passed a safety inspection. Training is provided and schedules are done quarterly.
