Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin River Area (HFHSWRA) provides affordable homeownership and home repairs throughout our tri-county service area of Columbia, Sauk and Iowa counties. On the work sites, under the supervision of a skilled Construction Supervisor, we use volunteers to help build - thus keeping the cost of the homes and/or repairs reasonable for the low-to-moderate income people we serve.
Group build opportunities are available; please contact us for more information!
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer on a build site; some restrictions for minors.
Additional Requirements: There is a safety training required of volunteers, and in addition they must work under the guidance of the site supervisor. Tools and safety equipment are provided.
