ABOUT THE EVENT: Empty Bowls: An Event Supporting Friedens Food Pantries is October 8 from 11:30am-3pm at the Kern Center on MSOE's campus. This is our largest fundraising event for our food pantries, drawing over 1,000 attendees. At the event, attendees purchase a one-of-a-kind, handmade artisan bowl and then enter a food hall where they sample soups from a diverse array of local Milwaukee restaurants. 100% of proceeds support our mission of "building community through nourishment," and will help us provide millions of pounds of free food to tens of thousands of families this year. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Teams are needed as Bowl Room Assistants, moving bowls from the storage room to the showroom floor, replenishing them as guests purchase them. Volunteers will have the opportunity to attend the event before or after their shift.
