IndependenceFirst is giving out 20 computers to individuals with disabilities in financial need. Computers allow individuals to connect with the world around them to prevent social isolation, learn and research about their disability, connect with doctors and schedule appointments, learn the public transportation system, and much more.
Volunteers will assist individuals in learning the basics of computers- plugging in, turning on, accessing the internet, opening a word document, etc. No IT experience needed!
Time frame: 9am-3pm (can be broken up into shifts).
Lunch is provided if staying the whole day!
