Did you know in our local communities, 1 in 7 people struggle with hunger and 1 in 5 children go to bed hungry?
For a family just getting back on their feet and finding a place to live, putting together a meal can simply be another challenge. Healthy, easy-to-cook freezer meals will ensure that local families who are struggling with a number of current challenges are able to easily feed their families and focus on meeting and achieving other goals.
With the support of local restaurants and culinary experts, for the second year, United Way and teams of volunteers will be preparing healthy freezer meals to be distributed to local nonprofit agency partners serving those in transitional housing and family support programs, in an effort to help them fill their freezer! Teams of volunteers will work alongside local chefs to prepare and pack a variety of newly curated freezer meals. Join us for this fun, unique, and exciting volunteer opportunity!
