Join us from 1:30 - 3:30 on Thursday, June 28 to make ice cream from scratch with residents at Homme Home for the Aging. This project will be led by Homme Home staff. Volunteers will act as the hands and legs for residents who need assistance to get materials and use them for the project. Volunteers will also assist residents to and from the program. Ideal candidates for this position are able to walk and push a wheelchair, are familiar with basic food safety procedures, and feel comfortable working closely with residents to accomplish the resident's goal(s), and like ice cream. All volunteers at Homme Home need to complete an application and pass a background check.
