Electronic mail and media help many stay up to date with the events of our world and the lives of friends and family. While these tools help many, most residents at Homme Home still connect to the world, friends, and family via traditional mail and media. Help residents of Homme Home maintain their connection by delivering the mail. For some residents, this is as easy as dropping off the day’s mail and picking up any outgoing correspondence. Other residents may need assistance reading letters or cards or addressing outgoing mail. Ideal candidates for this position are able to walk and push a cart for long distances, can read well silently and aloud, feel comfortable entering resident rooms, and can commit to delivering weekly or bi-weekly. All volunteers at Homme Home need to complete an application and pass a background check.
