Join in for the Lincoln Avenue Community School Parent Job Seminar! Volunteers will help local men & women develop the skills and resources they need to boost their job search prospects, find a new job or start a new career! Help us break barriers to employment at this exciting unique event.
Role Duties for Interview Coach: Volunteers will be conducting brief, mock interviews with seminar attendees. Volunteers will be paired one on one to facilitate a simple interview, focusing on the most common questions asked at an initial interview. Volunteers will assist the attendee in helping to develop their best answers to these common interview questions and then practice delivering their responses several times. Experience in interviewing and hiring for employment is preferred but certainly not required. Bilingual speakers (Spanish) are preferred as a large number of attendees are Spanish-speaking.
Time Commitment: One hour-long shift from 11am-Noon. Volunteers are welcome to join us for the morning activities if they like which begin at 8:30am.
