The Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream Pumpkin Carving (a.k.a. “Bring your own pumpkins for pizza!”). This event will be held on Wednesday, October 11th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The pumpkin-carving and decorating event is FREE and open to the public. Just bring your own pumpkins and pumpkin-carving tools and prepare to create a pumpkin masterpiece! The event takes place at the Pines Shelter, off the north end of the NEW Zoo’s main parking lot. If you are unable to bring your own pumpkins, you are still welcome to attend. Each year, the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park does receive some donations of pumpkins that can be carved by guests during the event.
Event sponsor Happy Joe’s Pizza & Ice Cream will provide FREE PIZZA and the zoo will provide SODA to everyone who participates in the event. Groups such as scout groups, church service groups, along with families and friends are all welcome and encouraged to attend. Of course, individuals can attend as well!
Pre-registration is requested for the event, but walk-ins will also be accepted on the night of the event. Guests can come and go anytime between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. To register, visit our online sign-up page. Email volunteer@newzoo.org with questions.
