Volunteer Shifts:
Residential Pick Ups
- Thursday: 8:30 am-2 pm
- Saturday: 9 am-1 pm
Business Pick Ups
- Wednesday & Friday: 9:30 am-1 pm
Donation Pick Up Assistant Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist the truck driver to pick up donations in the community
- Greet and thank donors (represent Habitat and ReStore in a positive manner)
- Load donations onto truck
- Fill out donation slips
- Answer truck phone and call donors before pick ups
- Ability to clearly explain ReStore's mission
- Assist with unloading and organizing donations at the ReStore
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Age 18+
- Able to do heavy lifting (100+ lbs)
- Able to talk on the phone and provide customer service
Training & Resources Provided:
- 1/2 hour orientation
- Truck driver is always present to answer questions while completing pick ups
