Volunteer! Tutor one-on-one or in a group

Help bring the power of literacy to adults in Jefferson County. The Jefferson County Literacy Council seeks individuals to support the literacy goals of adults in our community. It is estimated that nearly 5000 adults in our community lack the literacy skills they need to get better jobs, help their children with homework, or participate fully in society. Additional Requirements: We do require new volunteers to attend a 5 hour training session and commit to serving 2-3 hours per week for at least nine months.
