2nd Saturday of the Month
Various Shifts Available: 11 am-1 pm, 1-3 pm & 2-4 pm
Diaper Distribution Responsibilities:
● Arrive at 11 am to assist with area prep: arrange tables and chairs
● Moving diaper bags filled with various sizes of diapers, including (Newborn, 1,2,3,4,5,6, Youth SM & LG)
From the 2nd floor down to the main floor via elevator on utility carts for easier transportation.
● Diaper bags must be handled and transported with care.
● Assist staff with sorting and organizing diapers by size to display at the distribution table.
● Keep the loading area and distribution table clean, organized, and clear of any hazards.
● Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff members to ensure a safe and efficient distribution:
All items must be ready to distribute no later than 12:50 pm (Event Doors Must Open to the Public at 1 pm)
● Cleanup tasks at the end of the shift: transporting any unclaimed diaper bags and clothing items back up to the 2nd floor, placing tables and chairs back at their original location, ensuring the main room is cleared by 4 pm.
Community Closet Responsibilities:
● Arrive at 11 am to assist with closet prep: Arrange tables, chairs, mirror, and clothing racks
● Transporting clothing racks and bins from the 2nd floor down to the main floor via elevator
on utility carts for easier transportation.
● Clothing racks and donations must be handled and transported with care.
● Assist staff with sorting and organizing clothing items by size and category at the distribution tables.
● Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff members to ensure a safe and efficient setup:
All items must be ready to distribute no later than 12:50 pm (Event Doors Must Open to the Public at 1 pm)
● Keep the loading area and distribution tables clean, organized, and clear of any hazards.
● Assist participants with finding clothing sizes and items needed
● Cleanup tasks at the end of the shift: transporting any unclaimed clothing items back up to the 2nd floor, placing tables and chairs back at their original location, ensuring the main room is cleared by 4 pm.
Requirements:
● Ability to execute the outlined schedule and be punctual for your assigned tasks/shift.
● Kind and caring service was demonstrated to all participants
● Willingness to work collaboratively with a diverse team of volunteers and staff members.
● Ability to lift and carry boxes of varying weights safely (approximately 30-50 pounds)
● Orientation and training will be provided on-site to familiarize volunteers with safety protocols, proper lifting techniques, and program procedures.
