Give 7th and 8th graders from UCC schools a sneak peek into their future with an interactive 30–45-minute career session to 3 groups of students! This is a great chance to explore the vast career opportunities waiting for them!
What to Expect:
- Each volunteer/group will present to three groups with about 30 students, ages
10-14. Students will rotate classrooms. - Volunteers will need to be available the entire time.
- Plan one interactive presentation to give three groups.
Answer Questions:
- What you do and why you love it
- The skills and education required in this field
- What does a typical day at your job look like
- Your personal journey and you came to be where you are now.
Bonus Tips:
- Bring the Energy! Use props, demos, and activities to turn your presentations into an interactive adventure!
- Tell your story! Your personal journey will captivate their imagination.
- Engage and Spark! Ask questions and get the students involved. Let them connect with your career and ignite their curiosity!
