Who We Are

The Wisconsin State Park System provides places for outdoor recreation and for learning about nature and conservation. State parks, forests, trails and recreation areas are visited by nearly 15 million citizens a year. If you like to spend time in the outdoors, interact with and help other outdoor enthusiasts, and you care about protecting our natural resources, then Wisconsin State Parks needs you. Come and join the fun!

What We Do

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is dedicated to working with the citizens and businesses of Wisconsin while preserving and enhancing the natural resources of Wisconsin. In partnership with individuals and organizations, DNR staff manage fish, wildlife, forests, parks, air and water resources while promoting a healthy, sustainable environment and a full range of outdoor opportunities.
