Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce Of Wisconsin: Empowering Latinos

Empowering Latinos is a unique one-on-one advancement program for Latino adults that focuses on life-skills tools that bridge cultural and language barriers for greater personal and economic independence. Empowering Latinos began 5 years ago and has served over 1500 mentor volunteers and participants. Demand for the program has grown each session and we are always looking for more volunteers to work on-on-one with students so that we can continue to grow our program and serve more hard-working community members.

Serve as a mentor to a Latino adult in our community through the Empowering Latinos program at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin. Empowering Latinos has served over 1500 individuals in its short 5 year history and continues to grow in size during each of its three yearly 10-week sessions. Volunteers work with a participant every week to help strengthen English communication skills, develop individual participant goals and most importantly HAVE FUN while building relationships. All class materials and activities are provided by the program and Spanish is NOT required to volunteer!
