Who We Are
The City of Beaver Dam Community Activities & Services Department Senior Division promotes social, educational, leadership, recreational and volunteer opportunities for persons age 50 & over; serving as a community resource on aging.
The Senior Center was organized in 1968. In 1970 the City had formed a Commission on Aging, applied for funding under the Older Americans Act passed by Congress and the rest is a 50-year history of success! The Senior Division is accredited by the Wisconsin Association of Senior Centers and the National Institute of Senior Centers. In 2007 the City went through a reorganization process and combined the Senior Center with Recreation to become the current Community Activities & Services Department. There are currently over 80 programs and activities for all ages in the city and surrounding areas. The department is now "Your Partner for a Lifetime".
