Who We Are

The vision of Barron County Habitat for Humanity is to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Barron County Habitat for Humanity was incorporated in 1996 and has helped 20 low-income families throughout Barron County to own their own home. We have built homes in Barron, Brill, Cameron, Chetek, Cumberland, Haugen, and Rice Lake. We will be building our 19th home this summer in Cumberland. The ReStore, located in Cameron, opened its doors to the public in 2007, and has provided funding for our building projects.

What We Do

Barron County Habitat for Humanity in a local non-profit organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing by providing low-income families with decent, affordable housing. We work with families who earn 30-60% of the median income of Barron County, and provide them with a 0% interest mortgage. All homes are built with volunteer labor and in-kind donations from local businesses. The ReStore provides funds for our building projects through the sale of donated furniture, appliances, and building supplies.
