The mission of The Cathedral Center, Inc. is to provide a safe environment for women and families while working to end homelessness, one life at a time.
1. Shelter: Our Emergency Shelter and Friendship House locations offers short-term and long-term emergency housing for 32 individual women and 16 families each night.
2. Case Management: All women and families in our three programs (Emergency Shelter, Friendship House, and Community Case Management) receive supportive services related to housing, employment, and other personal goals and areas of need. In our shelters, Case Managers work with guests to establish a Plan for Independence focused on goals related to increasing income, securing housing, and personal skill development. In the Community Case Management program, Case Managers help clients at risk of homelessness access existing community resources to prevent the need for a shelter stay, or at the very least, reduce the length of time needed to reside in a shelter.
3. Workforce Development: The Cathedral Center’s Employment Program offers career readiness training. The program offers a framework that connects supportive services, soft-skills education, workforce skills training, enabling residents to venture further on a career path.
