Since 1978 Bay View Community Center has been providing "quality of life" programs and services to individuals and families. The Center provides programs for all ages. As a Family Resource Center, we provide activities for children as young as 6 weeks old with their parent(s). Through playgroups and classes like Zumbini, Little Artists, and other classes we provide toddlers the opportunity to socialize with other children, prepare children for school through exposure to reading, art, dance and music and help parents to develop support networks and learning on current parenting. In addition to classes and clubs for school age children, we provide a popular and needed one-on-one tutoring program.
Adult programs are provided in the area of Arts and Crafts; Food and Nutrition; Life Skills; Recreation and Day Trips.
A specialized social program for people age 50 and over provides monthly luncheons with entertainment - Senior Celebrations; monthly Bingo for fun and prizes; discussion groups like "Share the Wisdom" and a weekly exercise program.
Support programs include a Food Pantry; Holiday Toy and Gift Distribution, and a site for WE Energies POSitive ID Program.
