PFLAG Door County

Who We Are

Our Chapter’s journey was realized by Sandy Brown in 1995 when she decided to be a representative of PFLAG. Then in 1997, a young gay man from Door County reached out to Sandy because he was contemplating suicide. That young gay man was not alone. As a result, we decided to form a chapter and meet monthly. That moment in our Chapter’s chartered past was celebrated with the entire nation because PFLAG Door County held our first event on the evening Ellen DeGeneres came out on television. Through it all, the journey continues. Everyone is welcome to join us on our journey as we continue to build common unity while sharing with each other who we are who we celebrate becoming together as PFLAG Door County. Join Us Today! PFLAG of Sturgeon Bay – Door County is a 501-C-3 non-profit organization and an official chapter of PFLAG national since 1997.
