Our team is made up of everyday people, we are veterans, families, neighbors, students, retirees, and supporters who believe that no veteran should feel forgotten or isolated. Vets & Friends of Wisconsin creates a place where veterans, active‑duty service members, and their families feel seen, supported, and connected. Every week, we serve hundreds of guests through hot meals, conversation, and community‑building programs that restore dignity and strengthen belonging. But the meal is only the beginning. We offer a welcoming environment where people can find resources, build friendships, and know they’re not facing life alone. Our volunteers help create that experience by greeting guests, serving meals, listening, laughing, and showing up with compassion. When someone walks through our doors, they’re not just receiving a plate of food. They’re receiving a reminder that their service matters, their story matters, and they matter.
