Who We Are

Easterseals Wisconsin Camps have a team of passionate full time staff that are dedicated to providing services for our campers and their families. We are always looking for volunteers and seasonal staff members to serve as counselors during our weekends programming (September-May) and during our week-long summer programming (June-August). Volunteers work directly with our campers, both kids and adults with disabilities. We provide a one-in-a-lifetime camp experience while giving our campers' families and caregivers a much needed time of respite.

What We Do

Our mission is to increase independence, maximize opportunities, minimize barriers, and enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities. Easterseals Wisconsin provides vital and unique services, briefly described below, to children and adults with disabilities and their families across our state. Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to helping each person we serve overcome obstacles to independence and reach personal goals. Camp Wawbeek Located just north of Wisconsin Dells, Easterseals Camp Wawbeek has been providing traditional camp experiences in an accessible environment to children and adults with disabilities since 1938. Specialty sessions for various age groups and interests are offered as well as sessions for veterans and their families. Respite Camp Also located in Wisconsin Dells, the Wisconsin Elks/Easterseals Respite Camp offers camping and outdoor recreational opportunities for children and adults with disabilities who require individualized support and care. Within small groups, campers can enjoy a program tailored to their needs and interests. And while campers are having a wonderful time, families and caregivers can take advantage of some much-needed time off.
