Volunteer Ombudsmen and Volunteer Advocates protect the rights of elderly people age 60 years and older by making unannounced and focused weekly visits in long term care facilities.
We empower residents and family members to address concerns if possible, and voice concerns for residents who request for us to do so.
We observe general conditions and daily activities. All residents are given a brochure or laminated card listing their Resident Rights and information on the services available by the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program.
