Who We Are

The Center for Leadership of Afrikan Women’s Wellness (CLAWW) is a Milwaukee-based nonprofit dedicated to helping Black women heal from trauma, strengthen family and community bonds, and thrive in health, leadership, and wellness.

What We Do

CLAWW, the Center for Leadership of Afrikan Women's Wellness, is devoted to promoting Black women's and their families' well-being. Here's a snapshot of their work:

The center partners with organizations such as Rooted and Rising, 5 Points Neighborhood Association, Wisconsin Community Services, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to provide holistic support for Black women. Their commitment to community networking remains steadfast, with ties to institutions such as the Rooted and Rising and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Creative Arts Workshops
Junk Journaling, Expressive writing, Greeting Card Making, and other hands-on arts workshops that encourage creativity, relaxation, and self-expression.

Annual Fundraising Events
Events such as the Wine, Women & Wings Red Carpet Affair and Mom & Me Vintage Tea Party bring the community together to celebrate, raise awareness, and support CLAWW’s mission.
