Volunteer: Social Media InternOverview The focus of this role will be assisting in marketing/branding of The Good Fight, creating content that showcases our relationship-driven programming to the community. You will be responsible for creating and managing content for the organization’s website and media outlets. Applicants should have experience in graphic design, including experience utilizing Canva. Essential Functions Help plan, facilitate, and evaluate marketing strategyProvide support in the branding of the organizationDevelop content that drives cohesive messaging to GFCC audienceDuties and Responsibilities Design both print and digital materialsCreate and maintain newsletter/blogCollaborate with Executive Director to develop design conceptsMonitor all social media platforms (comments, messages, etc.)Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of mediaFilm, write, edit, and post content according to scheduleCreate and adhere to content calendarSet up Text-to-GiveSubmit Google Ads grantRequirements and Qualifications High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive creditExperience working with CanvaExperience working with WordPress (Website Builder), preferredProficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and/or Google Drive (Word, Presentation, Excel, and Calendar)Must be at least 18 years of ageExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong creative and analytical skillsSelf-directed and able to work without supervisionCompensation Receive university credits and stipend payment from The Good Fight Community Center Stipend Dates: May 1st(Spring), August 1st(Summer), December 1st(Fall) • $1000 per semester (minimum 10 hours per week) *Actual payouts occur on whatever payday is closest to listed dates Agency: The Good Fight Community Center, Inc. Connect, play games, and hangout with our students! Time: preferably 2-4 hours on the days that work for you, Monday through Friday 11am-7pm.
