DETAILS: Support BRIDGE clients with cognitive disabilities in daily activities including community outings (YMCA, state parks, Senior Centers, etc), cooking, gardening, geography, volunteering, and more!

 

DAYS: Monday - Friday

 

TIMES: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

 

LOCATION: 651 Brakke Drive, Hudson, WI

 

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE: Volunteering options are VERY flexible within the 9-3 time frame. Volunteer Coordinator will work with you to develop a schedule that fits your availability.

 

VEHICLE REQUIRED: Transportation to/from our Hudson/River Falls locations is not available for volunteers.

There may be room on our vehicles for you to ride along with clients to outings, but often times there is not.

In that case, you would need to drive your own vehicle to the outings. 

 

AGE REQUIREMENT: 18+

 

Volunteers that give 30+ hours to BRIDGE must be willing to complete a background check

BRIDGE Day Services is seeking a volunteer knowledgeable in American Sign Language to lead a class with a group of BRIDGE clients. The benefits for the volunteer are to gain teaching experience, develop leadership skills, and to have the privilege of supporting people with disabilities in their efforts to communicate.

 

REQUIREMENTS: The volunteer should be comfortable leading small groups, have skills in preparing and teaching lessons and demonstrate patience and flexibility with BRIDGE clients.

 

TIME COMMITMENT: Preferred one or two days a week Monday- Friday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for up to 2 hours at a time. Time commitment is negotiable and we will do our best to work with the volunteer’s available schedule.

 

LOCATION: Ideally, one day at the BRIDGE Hudson Day Service location (651 Brakke Drive) and the other day at the BRIDGE River Falls Day Service location (387 Arrow Court, Suite 201).

 

AGE REQUIREMENT: 21+

 

TRANSPORTATION: Volunteer must provide their own transportation for this opportunity.
