Volunteer Shifts:  

Residential Pick Ups 

Thursday: 8:30 am-2 pm  Saturday: 9 am-1 pm 

Business Pick Ups

Wednesday & Friday: 9:30 am-1 pm

Donation Pick Up Assistant Roles & Responsibilities: 

Assist the truck driver to pick up donations in the community Greet and thank donors (represent Habitat and ReStore in a positive manner)  Load donations onto truck  Fill out donation slips  Answer truck phone and call donors before pick ups Ability to clearly explain ReStore's mission  Assist with unloading and organizing donations at the ReStore

Desired Skills & Experience: 

Age 18+ Able to do heavy lifting (100+ lbs)  Able to talk on the phone and provide customer service

Training & Resources Provided: 

1/2 hour orientation  Truck driver is always present to answer questions while completing pick ups

Merchandising 

Price, organize and place merchandise in appropriate departments Clean merchandise

Cheerful and upbeat customer service skills 

Training & Resources Provided:

Age 18+ Cheerful and upbeat customer service skills  Register experience preferred, but not required

Training & Resources Provided: 

1/2 hour orientation  4 hour training with ReStore staff member or experienced volunteer  To become comfortable with register operations, it is suggested to volunteer 1-4 times per month Staff support is always available to assist with questions
