Volunteer: Welcome Desk AssistantsThe City of Beaver Dam Community Activities & Services Department is located at The Watermark, a community center. The purpose of the Welcome Desk Assistant is to greet all patrons with a smile and be the first impression of The Watermark. Volunteers will assist with participant check-in, answer the phone, perform light office tasks and computer work, handle small cash transactions and ensure program coordinators have their supplies. The Welcome Desk is staffed Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm. We offer two shifts, 8am-Noon and Noon-4pm. Volunteers can choose their shift and the day of the week they would like to work. Thanks to their efforts, participants can enjoy many wonderful things to do for little to no cost. We offer social, educational and recreational programs for people age 50 & over. If you have a special talent that you'd like to train others to do or you would like more information on the programs & activities we currently offer and those that we need help with, please give us a call. All volunteers will be provided training and given our Volunteer Handbook.
