Volunteer: Toy Drive for Families with Children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing!HEAR Wisconsin has an annual Winter Wonderland event for current and past family clients of the Kellogg Child & Family Program. This event is accessible for client families who have family members who are deaf or hard of hearing. Approximately 50 percent of the children HEAR Wisconsin serves come from low-income households, so this event is highly anticipated by many of these families. Annually, we have about 200 people in attendance. We offer unwrapped toys for parents to give to their children during the holidays, some who do not have many toys at home. We are in need of new educational toys in following age categories and requirements: Birth to three years old (greatest need) 3-5 years old 6-8 years old No stuff animals, toy weapons, coloring books Toys valued at $25 or underToys are needed by December1 for the event (held in early December). We can provide toy collection bins for your place of business or local community (with a client story to share in email format that can be shared with co-workers). Monetary donations are also accepted for staff to purchase additional toys if needed to fill age gaps and/or to purchase supplies for the annual event. Thank you! Agency: HEAR Wisconsin, Inc.
