It is the mission of the Youth and Family Project to provide supportive services to youth and families, helping them achieve an increased sense of safety hope and belonging. Major Tasks of the Fundraising Committee:

Time Commitment:

Fundraising committee meets virtually, twice per month on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 3:30-4:30 pm. Responsibilities require 1-4 hours of work per week. HorseSense is looking for volunteers to assist in our adaptive horseback riding lessons this spring, summer, and fall! No experience is required but volunteers must be able to walk and be on their feet for extended periods of time and be okay walking in sand.  Volunteers provide direct support to our riders, many if whom have a diagnosis of some kind and often require physical support.  Lessons are Monday-Thursday at 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, and 6pm each evening. We do ask volunteers to commit to the same day/time(s) for a full session to ensure consistency for our riders.  Occasional absences are to be expected.  The 2025 session dates are as follows:

Spring: March 10th-May 16th 

Summer: June 2nd - August 22nd

Fall: September 8th - November 17th

Our needs have been met for the spring but we continue to look for support for the summer and fall.  Individuals who can not volunteer weekly for a full session are encouraged to join our sub list!  Please reach out for additional information.

We are seeking a volunteer who is academically focused and can help support our site by tutoring elementary-age children (ages 6-13), providing one-on-one assistance to students with their schoolwork/homework assignments, reading, and engaging in educational games & activities. Tutoring, AI-assist in clubs/activities 

This will include guiding and encouraging youth while also fostering positive learning habits, building confidence, and addressing any potential social or emotional barriers to learning that may impact their academic performance.

Please note that this is the first step of the volunteer application process. Overview: Volunteers would help maintain flower beds by weeding, pruning, deadheading, and spreading mulch a few times per year at Camp Alice Chester in East Troy throughout the spring, summer and fall. Shifts are flexible.   

Qualifications: This position is for volunteers interested in performing general gardening activities outdoors and have some experience identifying and caring for perennials, communicating with staff and who don't mind repetitive tasks like weeding or pruning. Volunteers should be able to work in hot weather, stoop, bend and kneel and be comfortable working outdoors.

Volunteers would need become a Girl Scout member and complete a background check through GSWISE.

We are seeking a new leader for our Y-Not Chorus Group. The Y-Not Chorus is a group comprised of senior adults all with various singing abilities that want to share their love of music with others. Their main purpose is to bring joy to those is assisted living environments by providing musical performances. The group typically practices on Friday's at Gloria Dei Church in Neenah, with various performances throughout the year, especially during the holidays.

The leader of this group would be in charge of conducting, working with the pianist to choose musical selections, as well as working with the rest of the group to determine schedule and performance dates. Binder of sheet music and lyrics provided. Currently, the group practices and performs mainly in Neenah, with various performances throughout the Fox Valley.

Spring City Corner Clubhouse is a place that empowers individuals who are disabled by mental illness to achieve or retain the confidence and skills necessary to lead vocationally productive and socially satisfying lives.

We are in need of people to help us deep clean and wax flooring with your own machine.

This will require some heavy work. We could be flexible with time. This would take approximately 4 hours for 1-2 people. 

Yarn crafters we need YOU because knockers (knit or crochet) are needed by the Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital Cancer Center for our breast cancer patients.  Our local cancer center is seeking crafters that are willing to knit/crochet these soft, comfortable prosthetics for local breast cancer survivors. We are able to provide all of the instructions thanks to Knitted Knockers, a non-profit organization started by a breast cancer survivor in Washington state.  We need YOU and your yarn crafting friends to create this very needed item in our community.   

Knockers are special handmade breast prostheses for women who have had breast cancer and undergone mastectomy or lumpectomy. Traditional breast prosthetics can be hot, heavy and sticky, require special bras and can’t be worn for weeks after surgery. These knockers are soft, beautiful, comfortable and they are washable.

            The Chippewa Valley Museum has special events and programs throughout the year, and we rely on volunteers to make these happen. Upcoming opportunities include the following:

Folk Arts Festival - February 22, 2025 Be part of a vibrant world of folk arts and culture while enjoying live demos, talented artisans showcasing their craft, and hands-on activities for all ages. Talk to people in the know about things like fiber arts, wood turning and wood carving, beekeeping, puppetry, beadwork, blacksmithing, and more. There’ll also be music, activities for kids, and food available for purchase. Engage your curiosity throughout the whole campus!

Special events and programs volunteers help with larger or specialized events and programs, like Halloween Skelebrations or the Folk Arts Festival!

-         Opportunities are often available outside of regular museum operating hours.

-         Requires minimal extra training or commitment.

-         Can use special skills or expertise related to the museum’s mission to serve as a presenter or instructor.

-         Volunteers from any museum department can support special events and programs!

The Ice Cream Parlor is open Fridays and Saturdays from 1-5 PM

The museum relies on volunteers to operate the parlor, with all profits supporting the museum's year-round programs. By committing to operate the ice cream parlor on a weekly or monthly basis, you will be an important part of keeping the museum a place for visitors to connect, learn, and make sweet memories for years to come.

-         Scheduled in 5 hours shifts when the ice cream parlor is open (Friday and Saturday 1-5PM).

-         Volunteers will operate the parlor by scooping ice cream, serving drinks and snacks, and maintaining required regulations.

-         This is a slow-paced position with plenty of staff support. Bring a quiet task to occupy time between visitors.

            The Chippewa Valley Museum is looking for Volunteers to become Docents. Fall school tour season is coming up soon so sign up to train now!

Docents are outgoing volunteers who are skilled at presenting tours to groups.

-         They are trained and supervised by the museum’s Educator (Karen Jacobson).

-         Tour groups range in age from preschool through adult and group sizes are variable.

-         Docents must efficiently move groups through exhibits and adapt to tour schedule modifications.

-         Opportunities vary by season and may include tours of year-round museum exhibits, historic structures, and interpreting History Kits at outreach events in the community.

Love to work with people? Visitor service opportunities are perfect for those who value connecting with people and the community. The Chippewa Valley Museum needs volunteers to work at our Front Desk and in our Museum Store. The volunteer work will include greeting visitors, using a cash register to ring up sales and answering the phone.

The Chippewa Valley Museum is open 5-8PM on Tuesdays, 12-5PM Wednesday through Friday, and 10AM-5PM on Saturdays. We need someone at the front desk for all of these shifts!

You can volunteer weekly, biweekly, monthly, or just fill in as a sub every once in a while!

Everybody Bikes UA is seeking volunteers who are willing to help refurbish donated bikes that are awarded to community-members after a brief training. We can work around your schedule.

We're also open to volunteers willing to assist with our bike maintenance and training programs that occur on Friday mornings at the Library. You don’t have to be mechanically inclined or familiar with bicycle repair to help!

Looking to get your steps in? Help us run carts to clients’ cars as they come through the pantry line. You will be responsible for grabbing carts out of the queued line and bringing them up to cars in the drive through. Once the food has been loaded into the car, you will also grab the empty cart and return it to the cart re-loaders. (Some shifts have two volunteers in this position.)

Is a fast paced and engaging environment your jam? Then this might be the job for you! Help us load shopping carts with food to pass out in the drive through. This would include lifting boxes and bags into carts and then placing the carts into a queue to be distributed. You will also help and replenish supply from the back by helping to grab milk and bring up miscellaneous carts of prepped groceries. The ability to lift up to 20lbs is required for this position. 

Deliver Food and Hope! As a Community Care Courier, you'll be the friendly face delivering groceries to food pantry clients who have difficulty getting a ride to the pantry, especially in the colder months. Your role is more than just delivery—it's about bringing a little extra kindness and ensuring that neighbors in need have access to nutritious food with a smile. You'll be a vital link between the pantry and the community, helping to make a real difference in people's lives. Delivery drivers will be a part of a team and will have access to the CCH transport van, or be reimbursed at the federal charitable rate. Must be 18 or older to volunteer. All drivers must have a valid license. Scheduling is flexible and can be adjusted in the event of inclement weather.

Committee that solicits donations, applies for grants, etc. Members of the fundraising committee will help raise money for the operation of the rescue.

Responsibilities and Duties:

·         Present the Bingocize Course as developed by Dr. Jason Crandall, Ph.D., EP-C, Western Kentucky University. The curriculum includes a Facilitator Guide and Participant Workbook for ease of delivery and use during the volunteer experience.

·         The facilitator must have a passion for working with older adults.

·         The facilitator should be comfortable leading small groups of 15 older adults.

·         The facilitator must be a self-starter who can take charge of the Bingocize program and work effectively with a co-facilitator.

·         The facilitator must be willing to make a commitment to the 10-week course schedule at least once annually. (Program is 1 hour twice a week for 10 weeks)  

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Preference for a current or retired health care professional, social worker, health educator, fitness expert or aging network professional.

·         The candidate should be willing to make a 2-year commitment to the program.

·         Willingness to share personal experiences to help motivate others to exercise and use the skills tools provided in the workshop.

·         Demonstrate timely response to project requirements.

·         Ability to perform additional duties as required by the Bingocize program and agreed upon with the Prevention Coordinator.

Training Requirements:

·         1- hour ADRC Volunteer Orientation

·         1-hour online training

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: 

·         Demonstrates passion to work with older adults, who have normal age-related memory changes, and is patient with them.

·         Communicating orally in a clear manner.

·         Promotes positive engagement and peer support.

·         Is sensitive to participants’ challenges, especially vision or hearing impairments.

·         Ensure all have the opportunity to participate.

·         Wants to give back to their community.

GEN-T Tech Help at Generations Volunteer Opportunity

Are you someone who enjoys technology and helping others? Join GEN-T, our free tech support initiative at Generations, where we help community members navigate the ever-changing world of technology!

We are looking for volunteers (ages 15+) to assist with both group talks and one-on-one tech help sessions.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assisting community members with questions about their devices, such as smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, laptops, or desktops.
Helping with basic tasks like setting up apps, navigating the internet, connecting to Wi-Fi, and more.
Working alongside a paid program staff member who will provide support for more advanced or challenging questions.
Contribute your problem-solving skills to help those who may feel intimidated by technology.
No tech expertise required! If you know how to use a phone or laptop and are willing to learn, you're a perfect fit for this role. Most of the questions are simple for someone familiar with technology, and if you’re unsure, the staff member on-site will guide you.
