We’re looking for two volunteers to help facilitate our weekly Storytime for Everyone program! Each week, the Neenah Public Library visits Valley VNA with their youth librarian, storytime kids, and their families for a fun, interactive hour of reading and connection.

Volunteer responsibilities include:
-- Setting up the room (arranging tables and chairs)
-- Preparing snacks
-- Greeting and engaging with participants
-- Running a PowerPoint presentation for the librarian
-- Resetting the room after the event

After storytime, families enjoy time to play and connect. The total time commitment is two hours, from 9:30–11:30 a.m. on Tuesday mornings (with the main program running 10–11 a.m.).

Do you have one to two hours per month available?  Valley VNA is looking for volunteer drivers who will be scheduled for a meal delivery route within the Neenah and Menasha area.  Volunteer drivers will pick up meals at around 11:00 am at ThedaCare Hospital and then follow delivery route map and drop off a healthy meal for our clients.  Once all meals are delivered, the delivery bag is returned to ThedaCare Hospital.  The routes usually take an hour.

Position summary: Available to assistthe surgery and GI Department waiting room. The volunteer will monitor the waiting area and take phone calls from the surgery and GI department and communicate with the family/friend waiting for someone to finish a procedure.  

Training:Volunteer will train with the Volunteer Coordinator to learn the processes and tools needed for the assignment. Training is usually completed after 1-2 trainings.  

Qualifications/Attributes: Must have good communication skills, friendly, positive attitude, empathetic personality, professional, team player. 

Physical Demands: 

Some walking. Be able to bend and put away supplies that are delivered to the area. Nutritional items are delivered for the hospitality area.

We are looking for compassionate volunteers to help a family in need. Caregivers have an exhausting job of caring for their loved one around the clock. We are looking for someone who is able to sit with a hospice patient as their caregiver takes time away for self care, doctors appointments, or groceries. Your role would be to provide supervision and companionship to the patient while their caregiver is away. You will not provide any hands on care such as changing, feeding, or moving the patients. We are looking for individuals that are available to help 1-2 hours per week.

Our volunteers are full members of our hospice team and often form close ties with the patient and their family. In our Volunteer Orientation class you will understand some of the challenges that face patients and families and ways you can bring quality of life and compassionate care to them.

As a hospice volunteer you will learn about the hospice philosophy, communicating with patients and families, family dynamics, spiritual care and the grief process.

Do you enjoy driving and meeting new people? Fox Valley Literacy is always seeking volunteers to assist with transportation for students learning English. Some of our students face challenges getting to class, and your support can make their education journey possible. If you are available to help transport students to and from class in Calumet, Outagamie, Waupaca, or Winnebago counties, please consider volunteering your time. Your talent will make a great impact on improving the quality work that Aurora Health Care’s medical professionals provide to the patients. Regularly, Aurora teammates complete competencies in simulation labs that require an actor to function as the patient. This is where you can assist. You will be a vital asset to the competency process by providing real life simulations of (fill in)

Aurora would be happy to accept 8-10 volunteer actors to meet the needs of this opportunity.

Simulations occur 3-4 times per month and last 1-3 hours each.

Assist in transporting residents to and from Catholic mass on Sundays.  Volunteer would stay in the mass during the service as well, to assist with taking residents back or chaplain needs.  Would prefer a semester or year long volunteer experience.

In the realm of compassion and care, few roles hold the significance and transformative power quite like that of a hospice volunteer.  It is experience that transcends the ordinary as you touch the lives of those in need with grace, comfort, and companionship.  Being a hospice volunteer is about dedicating your time and presence to others.  Whether through a gentle touch, a listening ear, or simply sitting quietly by their side, you become the steadfast support those facing end of life seek.  Volunteers can read books, newspapers, or magazines to patients or even share their own stories.  For patients who enjoy the company of animals, volunteers with trained therapy animals can visit and provide companionship.  Hospice volunteers who have served in the military can share their experiences with a hospice veteran and participate in a pinning ceremony.  Being a hospice volunteer is a calling that allows you to provide empathy, allow yourself to be vulnerable, and embrace the stories of each individual as they celebrate their life journey.  Are you up to this rewarding challenge?

Your role will be simple but impactful - offering a supportive, low-stakes environment where participants can practice interview skills, gain confidence, and receive constructive feedback.

We ask that you have experience with hiring, interviewing, or coaching. By giving just a little of your time, you can make a big difference in someone’s journey toward employment and stability.

We are looking for volunteers, or groups of volunteers, who can conduct mock interviews on Monday or Wednesdays, anytime between 9:00am and 1:30pm.

Help decorate bulletin boards in our child care center at the Neenah-Menasha YMCA: bring your creativity and love of teaching/children to our walls!! Also, help hang-up/take-down student artwork in our classrooms. 

Donations Volunteers work in our basement sorting donations for things we can keep vs. donate to other organizations (Goodwill, Community Clothes Closet, etc.). Volunteers come in Tuesday mornings from 8:30-9:00am until about 12:00pm.

Our food pantry volunteers clean out the refrigerators, go to St. Joe's Food Pantry and get new food for the week, and stock our kitchens in the house. We're looking for 1-2 new volunteers for this position to come each Tuesday morning from 9am-12pm.

Foster Grandparent volunteers serve between 5 and 40 hours a week, providing one-on-one support for students, teachers, and classrooms in Dane Co. schools, Head Start sites, and afterschool programs. Income-eligible adults receive a tax-free stipend, meal, and travel reimbursement for their service. 

RSVP volunteers extend agency services in non-profit and public agencies throughout Dane County. RSVP matches a wide variety of volunteer opportunities with the skills and interests of volunteers.

Every animal deserves a clean bed to sleep on and a sanitary dish to eat out of. In this volunteer role you will play a huge and essential support role to our shelter by providing our animals the comfort of these necessities. Duties include washing bowls, washing/folding laundry and washing used litter boxes in the sink. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to help animals from a distance or to ease their way into caring for animals directly!    

Assists NeighborWorks Green Bay with formulating policies and procedures for lending and counseling activities and identifies strategies for new product development. Assists staff by providing technical expertise, volunteer time to explore new opportunities and services, and understands and advocates for the homeownership program. Assists with the development, monitoring, and updating of the counseling and lending marketing plan.

Join our Volunteer Team-we are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist the RN in our Wellness Room, (RN cuts toe nails/finger nails) providing essential support to ensure a welcoming and hygienic environment for out participants.  As a wellness support specialist, your efforts will directly contribute to the comfort an satisfaction of those who visit out center.

Responsibilities:

Foot Bath Assistance: prepare and fill foot baths to create a relaxing experience for participants. 

Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness by thoroughly sanitizing equipment and areas after each use.

Facility Maintenance: Vacuum room to keep the area tidy and inviting.

Laundry Duties: Wash and dry towels used, to ensure fresh and comfortable towels are available.

Cedar Springs Therapeutic Ranch is looking for volunteers to help with our Equine assisted therapy sessions throughout the week. To be able to help our clients best therapy consists of an Instructor, a horse lead walker, and two side walkers. Our biggest need currently is for Side-Walkers. Side-walkers walk along the side of the horse during therapy sessions to help maintain balance for the rider. Training will be provided. Lessons run from 3PM-7PM weeknights (except Fridays). The Ranch is a fun place to be!

Assist with filing, data entry, and mailings.

Help set up polling locations and assist voters on Election Day.

Help clean and maintain designated streets.

Assist in organizing and coordinating city-sponsored events.

Assist in setting up booths, distributing materials, and engaging with the community at fairs and festivals.

Digitize old videos and photos for the city's archives.

Take photos of city events for social media and marketing.

Distribute emergency preparedness materials at community events.

Assist firefighters with installing smoke alarms for residents in need.

It is the mission of the Youth and Family Project to provide supportive services to youth and families, helping them achieve an increased sense of safety hope and belonging. To continue to support families in Washington County, we are looking for energetic and fun-loving individuals to serve on our Fundraising Committee. Our goal is to develop creative fundraisers aligned with our mission that bring families and community together!

Major Tasks of the Fundraising Committee:

Experience in fundraising or event planning is helpful, but not required!

Time Commitment:

Fundraising committee meets virtually, twice per month on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 3:30-4:30 pm. Responsibilities require 1-4 hours of work per week. Attend at least one Youth and Family Project event per year. Committee members are asked to commit to a 2 year term, if possible.

Child Protection Policy: The Youth and Family Project, Inc. provides many services to vulnerable populations and recognizes that anyone may have the potential to abuse children in some way. The Youth and Family Project will take all reasonable steps to ensure unsuitable people are prevented from working with children.
