Help ensure that families experiencing hunger this holiday season have access to a delicious Thanksgiving meal by joining us for Turkey Delivery Day.

This opportunity is ideal for a group who are interested in making a big impact in a short time. Help unload turkeys from delivery trucks, organize and package food, and prepare the Food Pantry for one of our busiest weeks of the year! 

Please note that this is the first step of the volunteer application process. Before your first volunteer shift, you must complete the MCC application and have this processed with the MCC Volunteer Coordinator, Arlene Gonzalez. Generally, this process will take 1-2 business days upon your application.

The Welcome Network is a nonprofit in West Bend that welcomes and supports newcomers with language challenges to the West Bend area.  One of the keys to their success is learning English.  We know that reading books to kids is one of the richest ways we can impart language knowledge.  So, you lend your voice, and love for books to kids whose parents can't read in English to them.

We provide this service in partnership with the West Bend School District.  Parents in bilingual households attend a training held by the Multi-lingual Family Services team.  Down the hall, we provide children in bi-lingual households Fluent English Native Speaker Reading opportunities. 

If you can read in English, you are qualified!

This is a Four Week session running from Oct 29-November 19 on Wednesday evenings from 6-8 pm.  

More sessions to come on Thursdays later in the school year!

Overview: 

New Horizons is seeking enthusiastic and professional volunteers to assist with follow-up calls to local businesses that recently received sponsorship and donation request letters for our upcoming Galentine's Day Brunch Fundraiser. This event raises vital funds to support our life-saving services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Volunteers will contact area businesses who have not yet responded to our sponsorship letters. Each business was asked to consider supporting the event through either:

We’re looking for a dedicated Pantry Organizer to help keep our shelter’s food and supply pantry running smoothly. This volunteer will sort through donations, check expiration dates, organize shelves, and ensure items are easy for staff and residents to access. The role also includes transporting pantry items between our main storage area and the shelter as needed.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys organizing, pays attention to detail, and wants to make a tangible difference in supporting survivors and their families.

Event Information:

Volunteers will meet at the Oshkosh Seniors Center at 10 a.m. to create small teams and delegate house assignments.

Volunteers will need to arrange their own transit from Oshkosh Seniors Center to assigned yard cleanup locations.

There will be a few rakes to lend and some of the homes will supply them, please bring extras as you can.

Plan to work for up to 2 hours, depending on yard size and location your team may travel to more than one home.

Residents are asked to be home and available during the morning.

Leaf blowers can be brought, no other power tools such as trimmers/chainsaws will be permissible.

Volunteers can return to the senior center at any point before they close at noon to return equipment, rest, and socialize.

Once the yard(s) are complete, take a picture and send them to health@winnebagocountywi.gov (please include the address)

Dress in layers, gloves are advised - if there is a significant amount of snow the event will be canceled and communicated.

The Women Build Intern will experience the ins and outs of event planning and build strong project management skills as they help organize the details of the 3-day volunteer and community event. They will work on marketing, fundraising, and volunteer experience. As availability allows, there may be additional events to assist with.

We can accommodate anywhere from 5 to 10 hours a week, more during the first two weeks of March. Ideally this intern would be available for the following 2026 events: Women in Construction March 5-6 and Women Build March 12-14. This is an unpaid position which might occasional travel. Our afterschool program is seeking a tutor with strong skills in algebra and trigonometry to support our high school students with understanding and completing their math homework. 

High school programming is Wednesdays 6-8pm and Saturdays 1-6pm. We need the most support on Wednesdays. 

The high school program is small, with less than 15 kids, and is a very welcoming and communal space. If you are interested, please reach out!

We are looking for someone to spend time with a student! Coloring, reading, playing! This is a great way to build relationship and make a difference in a young life! 

We have 14 stations of the cross within stone and the plexiglass needs to be removed in order for it to be replaced. We think that if a mason is able to remove the right stones, it will be possible to replace the plexiglass without jeopardizing the integrity of the structure. Do you have a kind heart and enjoy talking with others? ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah is looking for someone like you to greet patients as they come in for their appointments. Greeters in this position offer refreshments, do light clerical duties, stock supplies, and transport lab specimens. We need someone every Wednesday from 12-4 pm. The Women's Center is a calm, spa-like environment with excellent staff who engage with volunteers to make sure each patient feels welcome and comfortable.

We are looking for someone who loves to organize. Our center has several board games and an assortment of cards but they are currently in disarray.

This opportunity would involve looking through all our games, finding missing pieces or throwing out well-worn games, and organizing them so that they are more accessible to our youth.

Our center strives to provide math and literacy tutoring to elementary up to high school youth who need extra support. To ensure tutoring is targeted, we administer math and literacy assessments to all enrolled youth. 

We are looking for volunteers, preferably with a background in K-12 education, to support us in administering these assessments. 

Our after-school school program is looking for bookworms who want to share their love of reading with youth. Many of our kids could use extra reading time, whether 1:1 or in small groups like a book club. As a reading tutor you will have the opportunity to make a difference in a young reader's life.

Achievement Connections is an AmeriCorps program with four math tutoring centers at local MMSD high schools. Led by a team of AmeriCorps members and volunteers with support from program and school staff, these tutoring centers provide one-on-one support to a diverse set of students striving to improve in Algebra 1 and Geometry. Together with our partners, we aim to help students graduate, and in doing so, help close opportunity gaps to make Dane County a better place to live.

Achievement Connections believes in all staff and volunteers modeling and practicing the skills and habits we expect of our students. Our program strives for enjoyable, yet rigorous tutoring sessions based on a belief in students’ assets, rather than their deficits. The structure and expectations of our staff and volunteers detailed below is based on these beliefs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ● Build relationships with students within an asset based, Positive Youth Development model ● Provide academic math coaching, tutoring, and support to students ● Provide essential support to program coordination, administration, resources, and capacity ● Attend and/or complete required volunteer coach training as well as required MMSD volunteer training ● Maintain timely communication with program staff and tutor coordinators ● Abide by school and program policies ● Maintain appropriate boundaries with students

INITIAL IMPACT ● Volunteer Math Coaches + Tutors often make an immediate impact on a student’s upcoming tests and assignments, as well as their in-class performance. SUSTAINED OUTCOMES ● Volunteer Math Coaches + Tutors often make long term impacts on students’ attitudes toward math and academics, their Social Emotional Learning skills, their confidence as a learner, and maintaining a stable GPA throughout the academic year. Furthermore, volunteers strengthen the ongoing school-program partnership by increasing tutoring capacity and contributing to the quantity and quality of available resources.

TRAINING ● Volunteers will participate in required MMSD district training, math curriculum and tutor manual training, as well as be offered opportunities to engage in ongoing training around a variety of relevant topics.

SUPPORT ● Volunteers will receive support from their AmeriCorps member tutor coordinator(s) as well as program staff through scheduled check-ins, on-site coaching, and one review each semester.

COMMITMENT ● Minimum 2 hours per week ● Minimum 1 academic year ● Tutoring occurs during school hours, typically between 8:30a - 4:30p. ● Volunteers may be expected or have the opportunity to attend a small number of training events. ● Volunteers will be able to identify which of the 4 available high schools they would like to support. ● Volunteers will be matched with 1 or more students at their chosen school.

We are looking to connect with people who would like to shovel snow / use a snowblower (at some properties) for seniors in La Crescent unable to complete this task on their own. You would need to have your own reliable transportation to get to La Crescent, and we'll provide the shovel, salt, snowblower (depending on the property)!  Of course this is all weather dependent, but we're looking for students who are able to make a commitment for the season to do the snow removal each time there's a measurable snowfall. We would like you to commit to having the shoveling done within 24 hours of the snow event.

We are seeking technical support ASAP for:

Assisting with the Hybrid/Zoom system during our monthly meetings at the DJ Bordini Center in Appleton. We need Tech support on the 2nd Monday of most months from 5:15-8:15pm for 8 months out of the year. Remaining 2025 meetings for which Tech Support is needed are 10/13 and 11/13; need to train/practice prior. 2026 meeting dates have not yet been solidified but will be soon.

We need someone to start up the hybrid system before each meeting and remain at the computer during the meeting to ensure the tech is working properly, load files from flash drives, monitor those on Zoom, and troubleshoot if there are any issues. Must be comfortable with a computer and hybrid meeting environment. Familiarity with hosting Zoom meetings and hybrid conference systems beneficial but not required; we can train you. On October 25th from 10am-1pm, the Stevens Point YMCA will be running the Fall Festival. It is free and open to the community. We usually have between 600-800 attendees. It is Halloween themed, and every area of our building has different activities set up for families and different age groups. We have indoor and outdoor areas open this year.

Help organize Central Wisconsin Children's Museum from the inside. This is a custom listing for teams that we can create a project together. 

Deep cleaning opportunities for groups on days we are closed. Toys, bathrooms, floors, back rooms. 

Gather a group and run a fun activity for a science  (Monday) or art class (Friday). Thursdays open to suggestions. 

Be a part of a brand new opportunity!  RSVP’s Intergenerational Programs is piloting a new program this year called True Connections.  True Connections is a hybrid Computer Buddy/In-Person program that offers the opportunity to support student literacy skill development while also forging a meaningful intergenerational relationship.  Volunteers are paired with one fourth or fifth-grade student for the duration of the school year. The program provides both monthly in-person connections and weekly electronic pen pal-type writing through a blog platform to encourage a deep connection with the student throughout the school year. Program participants are asked to view a recorded training prior to the first Meetup.  Mileage reimbursement is available for the in-person Meetups.

The program kicks off with an In-Person Meetup on Monday, September 29, at 3:30 pm at Lake View Elementary.  Each monthly meetup will include an activity focused on an area of life connection. (ie: food, music, arts, literature, etc.) Weekly electronic pen pal communications continue to develop the relationship by co-creating ideas and deepening connections between in-person Meetups.  

We are looking for Middle School and High School youth (and college students) to come hang out with some great kids that have disabilities in our Citizen Advocates Respite group.  The time is spent playing in the gym or outside, playing card and board games, and just having fun! Young men that want to play basketball, kickball and other gym sports are encouraged to join us. Pizza is provided for dinner.
We ask that volunteers arrive at 3:30 for a brief orientation. Volunteers are finished shortly after 7 pm.

The event is held at Silverbrook Intermediate School.  This is perfect for youth groups and scout groups.  Younger volunteers may be allowed, with parents in attendance.

The Citizen Advocates Respite Group is designed to provide monthly respite for the families/parents of the children with disabilities so that they may enjoy time for themselves; a dinner out, time for errands, rest, etc. In addition to the adult staff, youth volunteers are matched with the students throughout the event. Being matched allows the students more social interaction at the event and provides an opportunity for the youth to learn from each other and build relationships.

Calling all who are looking for an opportunity to be creative, have some fun, and give away candy! We are looking for volunteers to support our 4th Annual Trunk or Treat at Elver Park Neighborhood Center.

We are asking volunteers to decorate their trunks (spooky, fun, scary, and creative decor encouraged!) and pass out candy. We are asking for volunteers to bring their own candy to pass out for about 200 kids (roughly 2-3 big bags). If this is a barrier to participation, please reach out.

Volunteers can arrive between 10am and 11:30 to set up, and be ready for Trunk or Treaters to arrive by noon. We will be all wrapped up at 2pm.

Unable to stay for the event but still interested in decorating a trunk? We are looking for a handful of decorated cars for our staff and car-less volunteers to use!

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide in La Crosse and Onalaska needs phone schedulers for the 2026 tax season. this is a short term volunteer position. Training starts in Late November with online learning. In-person training will take place in early January. The work takes place from mid-January through early April.

The position involves helping people schedule tax appointments over the phone, working from your home using your phone.

We are seeking assistance dog foster volunteers in southeastern Wisconsin! All supply and veterinary costs are covered by Infinite Possibilities! These volunteers will house and care for dogs who are in our Lana's Legacy program. Volunteers will house the dogs full time for the duration of the placement (time off as needed). Full time fosters must commit to a one hour lesson once weekly as well as practicing the learned skills with their foster in between lessons for at least 5 minutes per day.
