Position Overview

Bethany is seeking friendly, dependable volunteers to help with one of our residents’ favorite activities, Bingo! 

Ideal Candidate

·      A compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.

·      Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with the elderly, including those with hearing or memory loss.

·      Reliability and consistency in attendance.

Primary Responsibilities

·      Active Participation: Help create a welcoming environment by greeting residents and socializing.

·      Collaboration: Work with Bethany staff to identify residents interested in attending Bingo.

·      Resident Transportation: Assist residents in wheelchairs or walkers from their rooms to the game room. (helpful but not required)

Time Commitment

Shifts are currently available on Tuesday and Friday afternoons.

The shift begins at 1:30pm and ends at approximately 3:15pm. 

All volunteers are required to complete a background check and TB test. 

Position Overview

Bethany has several church services held throughout the week at the Bethany Chapel. Volunteers are needed to help bring residents to and from church services. 

Ideal Candidate

·      Reliability and consistency in attendance.

·      Candidates must be independent, physically able to push wheelchairs.

Primary Responsibilities

·      Resident Transportation: Assist residents in wheelchairs or walkers from their rooms to the chapel.

·      Active Participation: Help create a welcoming environment by greeting residents and socializing.

·      Collaboration: Work with Bethany staff to identify residents interested in attending services.

Time Commitment

Shifts are currently available on Wednesday and Sunday mornings.  

The shift begins at 10:00 am and ends at approximately 12:00 pm. 

All volunteers are required to complete a background check and TB test.

Help Hope House collect donated school supplies this August at Irish Fest! Every year Irish Fest generously hosts a school supply drive for us on their opening evening, we're looking for small teams to help us accept and organize school supplies! All volunteers get free Irish Fest entry before/after their shift.

Have your team join Hope House of Milwaukee's neighborhood clean-up! This opportunity is focused on the Walkers Point neighborhood surrounding Hope House. Help us be great neighbors while learning more about Hope House's work to end homelessness and ensure everyone has access to stable, healthy housing. Tours of Hope House will be offered. Please dress for the weather!

We are looking for teams from 5-40 people!

Help weed, clean, and plant in Hope House's backyard - After being closed to clients due to a program partners' space needs, we are reopening Hope House's backyard to make a peaceful, restorative space for families staying at Hope House's shelter. Looking for groups who want to get their hands dirty and are open to gardeners who want to lend their vision for a welcoming space!

We are able to work with your group's schedule during a weekday between May 4th - June 28th, 3-5 hours. Group sizes 5-20 welcome. Volunteers will help transform a small space with major needs. Tasks include weeding, repairing garden beds, potentially spot painting, laying mulch and soil and planting. We anticipate having donated plants and materials but welcome gardeners with their own vision and plants to spare as well!

Riveredge is seeking a volunteer (or small group) dedicated to maintaining the front landscaping at the Visitor Center (4458 County Rd Y Saukville Wi 53080).  The volunteer(s) will primarily be in charge of weeding, but direct instructions will be provided from Riveredge conservation staff.

Nearly 3 in 4 older adults experience foot problems, yet routine foot care is one of the most overlooked aspects of senior health. Regular care, including toenail trimming, can prevent pain, improve balance, and help seniors stay active and independent longer.

NewBridge Foot Clinics bring affordable, dignified foot care to older adults across the Madison area and we need volunteers to help.  No medical experience is needed; just a willingness to help and a friendly smile.

We’re planning our 3rd Annual Battle of the Big Bands at Becket’s September 25th and are looking for volunteers to join our planning committee. Funds raised through this event support programs focused on basic needs, community gardening, and non-violence initiatives in our area.

Volunteers can help with sponsorship outreach, organize our silent auction, and support event planning details. Most meetings are held via Zoom, and time commitments are flexible. Planning will take place leading up to the fall event, with virtual meetings and optional tasks between meetings.

We have patients who request haircuts; sometimes, the filing and painting of nails; especially when it's difficult for them to leave their home. Your services would be helping to restore dignity and a sense of normalcy during a period of profound transition in their lives.

A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer is a trained community member appointed by a judge to advocate for the best interests of abused or neglected children in the child welfare system. They gather information, monitor the child's situation, and report directly to the court, providing a consistent, supportive presence for the child.

Information: CASA volunteers thoroughly review records and talk with the child, parents, family members, teachers, doctors, and others involved in the child's life.

Advocacy: They speak for the child’s best interests in court, ensuring their voice is heard, and advocate for their needs regarding safety, education, and health.

Court Reports: CASAs submit written reports to the judge before hearings, offering recommendations regarding the child’s placement, services, and permanent, safe home.

Support & Stability: Unlike social workers who may manage many cases, CASA volunteers usually manage one case at a time, providing a consistent, stable, and trusted adult figure in a child’s often chaotic life.

CASA volunteers work alongside attorneys, social workers, and other professionals. They are required to complete training. While they do not need to be lawyers or social workers, they must be able to work with children and families, maintain confidentiality, and be comfortable in a courtroom setting.

We have a client who comes Tuesdays from 4:30-5 every Tuesday in our riding program who communicates via ASL. We would love to have a volunteer who can help us communicate with her during her lesson. 

Our construction volunteers give their time, energy, and heart to help local families build a safe, affordable place to call home—and you can support them in a delicious way! Fox Cities Habitat is seeking generous Meal Donors to provide lunch for our hardworking build‑site crews. Summer Camp Buddies work within the direction of a Summer Camp Educator to assist in camp activities and supervise campers during our week-long summer camps. Summer Campers are rising 1st to 8th graders.

Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday, June 8 - August 28. Opportunities are available for the following times:

-Spend an entire week of camp with us! Monday-Friday, 9:30am-4pm
-Spend the mornings or afternoons with us. Come in the morning or afternoon, before or after camp lunches. Shift would be about 3-4 hours long depending on timing.
-Looking for more flexibility? Join us once a week (or more) for recess duty! Come and play with the campers 11:30am-1:30pm.

Under the direction of our Education Team Members, Summer Camp Buddies will:

-Assist Campers with projects
-Ensure that Campers stick together while walking through the building
-Play with Campers at recess

Summer Camp Buddies will work directly with our Campers, so a desire to work with or interact with children is preferred. Please note we do ask that our younger Volunteers work with our younger Campers, i.e., if you have just finished your freshman year of high school, we would ask you to sign up for the 1st grade camp if it is still available.

Campers enter Discovery World through the Pavilion space, located on the technology side of our building, right off the Power On exhibit. The Pavilion has large, floor to ceiling windows on multiple sides, with additional artificial lighting on the ceiling. Noise levels will vary based on the number of people in the space.

Camps will take place in one of ten different lab spaces throughout Discovery World. Lab spaces vary in size, décor, windows, and location. Depending on the lab there could be no natural light or large windows. Most lab spaces are on the second floor of the technology building, with one on the lower mezzanine of the same, and two on the second floor of the Aquatarium.

This position includes periods of standing/walking but may be seated for portions of the shift. May include bending and twisting as needed for interaction and tidying.

Online background check for those 18+ is required. Liability and Confidentiality Waiver signature required.

We currently have a 12-year-old boy from Hortonville waiting to be matched with a mentor. This polite and talkative boy has a variety of interests including basketball, fishing and riding his bike. He also really enjoys drawing and working with his hands. He loves his two cats and hopes to become a veterinarian when he grows up.

The child described above is 1 of nearly 30 kids currently waiting to be matched with a mentor.

The Outagamie County Mentoring Program is looking for volunteer mentors who are willing to engage in positive activities with a child in the local community.  Mentors are asked to spend 4 hours each month with the child they are matched with, meeting at least twice per month.

Ozaukee Nonprofit Center is seeking a friendly, organized volunteer for the front desk.  Tasks include greeting visitors, directing to proper agencies, assisting with identified events and some computer work. The volunteer will also be responsible to meet the needs of visitors utilizing the Baby Bank as well as stocking the Baby Bank.   Center hours are Monday - Thursday 9-4 and Fridays 9-Noon.   Contact: admin@oznc.org

A Theatre House Event Manager volunteer is needed to make an ongoing commitment serving 2-4 hours once a week in rotation with the resident volunteer team to help with basic event technical support.  The volunteer Manager will serve for the University Woods campus Theatre.

Responsibilities include microphone and film setup, supporting musicians with sound checks before concerts, remaining onsite during events to ensure sound quality, and shutting down and securing equipment afterward. 

Ideal candidate is a dependable, detail-oriented adult (No high school/college students necessary) with required technology comfort and enjoys supporting live performances/film events.  Training will be provided.

Our facility provides emergency shelter to clients with an immediate safety concern. Our shelter consists of 11 apartment style shelter rooms where families and individuals have their own living space, including private kitchens and bathrooms. When we have an individual or family leave shelter, it is imperative that we get the room cleaned and flipped in a timely manner.  Due to our staff's time commitment to provide support services to our clients, we need assistance from volunteers to make sure this happens. We are looking for volunteers who would be able to come in on short notice to assist us in flipping rooms as they become vacant. *Note: Short notice could mean anytime within 1-2 days from time of contact, you are not expected to come in immediately when staff contacts you. Duties may include things such as: 

Sweeping/mopping/vacuuming floors 

Dusting 

Wiping down/sanitizing surfaces 

Cleaning windows 

Cleaning bathrooms 

Cleaning refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave 

Cleaning dishes 

Washing bedding 

Making beds 

Wiping down furniture

We believe that volunteers are vital partners in fulfilling our mission and strengthening our organization. Volunteers provide us with their unique talents, skills, and time, that in turn plays a crucial role in serving our clients. We are committed to the recruitment, training, and support of volunteers to help us reach our goal of ending the cycle of domestic violence. 

At Christine Ann we strive to protect our client's dignity by providing them with necessities such as food, hygiene items, and clothing, as well as providing them with a clean and organized space. As a non-profit, a large amount of these items come through donations. With the time commitments our staff provides for our clients, we do not always have time to sort/put away these donations, and they begin to pile up in our common area.  We are looking for a volunteer who could come in weekly to assist with sorting donations and putting them away.

At Christine Ann, we strive to protect clients' dignity by providing all the necessities they need, such as hygiene products and cleaning products, as well as maintaining a clean, organized environment for them. Once a month, we check all inventory to gauge what items we are most in need of to ensure that we can obtain and provide them. We are looking for a volunteer who could come in the end of each month to complete the inventory check. This could include: 

Shuffling items from the storage closet to all grab and go areas of the shelter 

Stocking other facility areas (such as bathrooms and break rooms) 

Using checklist to check inventory left in storage closet after stocking is complete

Program Description:

In order to assist older adults to live in their home safely and healthy for as long as they choose, St. Paul Elder Services offers several services to community members.  ElderMatch is a free, volunteer program to decrease isolation in older adults. Studies show that there is a direct link between isolation and decline in cognitive, emotional, and physical health, particularly among the elderly.   Providing companionship on a regular basis with individuals of common interests is shown to alleviate and prolong any decline in these areas.  St Paul Elder Services and the Outagamie County ADRC are partners in developing and carrying out this program.

Come join our residents on a shopping trip one time a month to our local Walmart , Hobby Lobby, or Dollar  store. Volunteers meet at Cedar Community and ride along on the bus to our destination point. They assist residents with shopping 1:1  and help them check out as needed. Food Pantry Helper – Do you enjoying talking to people? SVdP Neenah is looking for people that want to interact with the community. The CVM is a trained volunteer who temporarily looks after the interests of a child who is involved with the court system due to allegations of abuse or neglect. The CVM conducts monthly home visits with the child to gather updates and assesses their needs. This information includes, but is not limited to, their physical living space, educational, medical, social, emotional wellbeing needs, etc. The CVM will send a report to CASA staff upon completion of the visit.

CASA Volunteer Advocates go through an initial training before being sworn in and being assigned a child. Volunteers get to know the child by talking with everyone involved in that child's life including parents, relatives, foster parents, teachers, medical professionals, attorneys, social workers, and others. Volunteers use this information to inform judges and others of what the child needs and what will be the best permanent home for them via a monthly report. The recommended commitment is 1 hour per week visiting with the child in addition to taking time to connect with other people in the child's life as stated above.  

Must be at least 21 and pass a background check

We plan to add several rooms in a basement space and will need volunteers who are comfortable hanging, taping, and finishing drywall. While dates aren’t set yet, we’d love to connect now with qualified individuals or teams who may be interested when the project moves forward.

On Tuesday evenings in the summer, we race our S2 7.9 at Windjammers Sailing Club in Suamico. We are looking for a few volunteers with big boat racing experience that would be willing to assist with navigating the vessel and coach participants on racing techniques. Summer racing is a 15 week series, but we are looking to have multiple two-person instructor teams to make it an easier commitment. Previous sailing experience on a bigger boat is required.

Closet accepts clean and gently used seasonal YOUTH clothing and footwear, and brand-new socks and undergarments. Hello! Camp Y-Koda is looking for a volunteer with videography and photography experience to help us with capturing the BEST moments of summer camp. The videographer will help us create a new "commercial", end of year slide show and provide amazing photos of our campers to their parents! Camp Y-Koda is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and a branch of the Sheboygan County YMCA.

FoodBridge delivery volunteers help reduce food insecurity by delivering groceries from local food pantries to older adults who face barriers such as limited mobility, health challenges, or lack of transportation. This support helps clients access consistent food while remaining in their homes.

Volunteers are matched with one to three older adults and typically deliver from a specific food pantry on an ongoing basis. Delivery schedules are coordinated directly between the volunteer and the older adult, allowing for flexibility and reliability. NewBridge staff provide guidance and are available for support as needed.For many clients, these regular deliveries offer more than food. Seeing a familiar face and knowing someone will show up provides reassurance, stability, and a meaningful connection to the community

What began as neighborhood-based senior coalitions has grown into a trusted nonprofit focused on helping older adults live safely, independently, and with dignity. Our programs are built around practical help, human connection, and meeting people where they are.

Volunteer Application 

Home Chore Volunteers: Help older adults with everyday household tasks they can no longer safely do on their own. This support allows people to remain in their homes longer, maintain their independence, and feel safe in familiar surroundings. Tasks may include light cleaning, basic yard work, or small jobs that have become physically difficult over time

Volunteers are matched with clients based on location, availability, and comfort level. Some volunteers help one person on a regular basis, while others assist with one-time or seasonal needs. No special skills are required. Staff provide clear guidance, safety expectations, and ongoing support.

Many people we serve have no nearby family or outside help. Your time and effort can be the reason someone is able to stay where they feel most comfortable and secure.

Volunteer Application 

A volunteer is needed to take over for the Music Therapist as Tone Chime Choir Conductor or start out helping the therapist as Tone Chime Choir Assistant for the Oakwood Village University Woods resident Tone Chime Choir starting in February 2026.

The commitment would require a volunteer conductor or assistant to be involved weekly with 1 hour rehearsals.  In addition, the commitment would also require a conductor or assistant to be involved with and lead 2-4 performances during the year, which can be for Sunday morning worship services or concerts for residents at University Woods.  Currently 8-12 University Woods residents are involved in the Tone Chime Choir.

A prospective volunteer needs to have Tone Chime experience if possible.  The current tone chime choir is an adapted one that uses symbols to read notes and chords so any resident can participate regardless of musical background.  A new conductor or assistant could keep the adapted approach or use the more traditional approach of reading sheet music.  A full tone chime choir set is available for the choir to use and is stored on campus.

This volunteer need will be under the supervision of the Oakwood Village certified Music Therapist on staff.  The therapist will provide training for a new volunteer to be ready and comfortable in the role of conductor or assistant.

NOTE: No volunteers are needed to join and participate as Tone Chime Choir members.  Only volunteers with Tone Chime experience are needed to help in a leadership/assistant position.

Prospective volunteers will need to get registered with the Oakwood Village University Woods Volunteer Services Coordinator first to be set up.  Registration includes taking care of paperwork, background screening and TB skin tests.  It will be about a 3-week process.

We are seeking volunteers to work in a receptionist role at our Green Bay office location. Greet clients and building visitors, answer phones, route calls, and notify staff that their visitor has arrived. May require the use of interpretation services to effectively communicate with visitors. Training is provided.
