Kids go through supplies like you wouldn't believe and many of our family's struggle with the financial challenge of keeping their children fully supplied and ready to learn. If you can help provide supplies, we will make sure that every child has the supplies they need to be ready to learn. Supplies that we need include: 2 pocket folders w/ prong, Notebooks, Loose Leap Paper, Copy Ream Paper, pencils, markers, crayons, colored pencils, pink erasers, glue sticks, earbuds or headphones, index cards with lines, highlighters, dry erase markers.

Our Early Childhood & School programs strongly believe in the need to play outside and get fresh air. However, many of our families struggle to provide appropriate outdoor clothing during our cold winter months. 

We are seeking donations of hats, mittens, boots, snow pants and winter jackets.

Horse Handlers are responsible for the horse's behavior while a participant rides. Horse handling requires experience and we offer training in 5 different levels of horse handling. Testing is required for certification at each level.

Chix 4 a Cause is looking for an organized individual who can help manage volunteers for our events and office. We would love to have someone join us who can help determine needed tasks, assign tasks to volunteers, track volunteer hours in our online software, communicate with volunteers (via email or phone) and attend our events. Our busiest event, Kickin' & Sippin' is in fall, late September to early October. Kickin' & Sippin' this year is September 30th. The volunteer coordinator would put in about 5 hours per month, more during preparation for our fall event.

This opportunity would have you working with residents in our assisted living, the Rise. This would be a twice a month opportunity on Wednesdays at 1:15pm - 3:15pm. Life Enrichment staff would train volunteers as necessary.

Who we need: Someone who is kind, compassionate and an experienced lawyer or attorney.

What we need: Providing pro bono legal knowledge for survivors of domestic violence. Many people we serve have legal concerns related to civil or family court, such as divorce, child custody, and immigration issues. Our advocates need additional support in answering difficult or complex questions around these issues.

Requirements: Attending a one hour Volunteer Orientation, passing a background check, and a short walk through with our Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator

Experience with civil/family court process is very helpful but not necessary!

RentReady is a program operated by the Hunger and Poverty Prevention Partnership of Portage County.  This program works with individuals and families who  have had difficulties in obtaining rental housing due to prior evictions, bankruptcies, or legal issues. We are looking for mentors to walk alongside our RentReady graduates for one year.  The key idea to ensure success, particularly from the beginning, is to help participants get off on the right foot and stay the course through the critical first year. We want to give each graduate the greatest chance of success to enjoy the benefits that come with a year of solid rent experience on their housing resumé.

Concerned about all the environmental threats we're facing? By getting involved at the local/regional level with the Four Lakes Group in south central Wisconsin, you can offer ideas, decide on activities, discuss finances, and set directions consistent with national and state Sierra Club policies and stances.

Four Lakes Group board members discuss what issues we will become involved with or take stances on, conduct various programs and activities to support key issues in this area, and also get involved in elections. It allows you to have input on local issues you care about and want to make a difference on.  We are entirely volunteer led, which means you can play an important role.

We have fall elections, but can contact us at any time you're interested since we may have openings. Sierra Club membership is required, but you can easily join if you are not. We meet once a month - often online. time commitment is generally several hours a month, but depends on your interests and level of commitment that fits for you. Holy Wisdom Monastery in Middleton has recurring volunteer opportunities in our non-denominational retreat center kitchen. Duties include assisting chef with food preparation, table set-up, and clean up. The NEW Zoo is recruiting volunteers to supervise the Endangered Species Carousel! Volunteers are needed primarily Thursday through Sundays from 10am-12pm or from 12pm-2pm or from 10am-2pm. Other days of the week are also available upon request. Must be aged 18 or above, comfortable working with children, and complete the required training in person at the Zoo (takes about a half hour). A background check will be conducted on all applicants.

Assist staff in taking care of patients and loved ones throughout the duration of their appointments at the Regional Cancer Center.

Some duties include:

Volunteers acting as mentors and role models for  the children of the shelter. Depending on the number of children, the ages of the children and how many volunteers will determine what activities will take place each evening.   The Children's program takes place immediately following dinner. Dinner is served at 6 pm.. so somewhere around 6:45pm.  The activity could be as simple as playing games with the children, arts and crafts or helping with homework.  Activities depend on the ages of the children.

ACAP's lunch times are always very busy. Volunteers are sought to socialize with members during the lunch time. They may also be asked to help a member with their lunch, or assist members in other small ways. Grab a lunch and come spend it with your new friends at ACAP!

We are privileged to serve kids aged 5-18 and their families (foster, adoptive, or biological) who are experiencing or have a history of crises/trauma. Hurting people need hope and the security of healthy relationships that provide safety and trust.  Healing from the inside out can begin within the context of a caring and safe relationship. Pairing kids with a trained mentor and a horse with its own story can help spur the healing process. 

We are seeking dedicated mentors to join our volunteer mentor team.  Since the Covid-19 pandemic our client base has risen to the point that we are creating a waiting list for youth in need.  Mentors are needed to get these kids into our programming.  We are a faith-based organization and provide services to women and youth located in Calumet, Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Southern Brown, Winnebago, and Monroe counties.

Do you like to cook for a crowd? Have we got the opportunity for you!

Traditionally, Meal Teams have prepared a meal at home, and brought it to the shelter, warm, to serve. At this time, Day by Day is looking for volunteers who are interested in forming a team to prepare meals for 55. 

We have a warming kitchen with an oven, warming rack, and steam table for serving here at the shelter. We do have an industrial dishwasher and reusable trays, cups, mugs, silverware, etc. Some teams prefer to bring in disposable items to save time and skip the dishes.

*Volunteers under 18 may assist with meal but must be with and near a guardian at all times.*

At Day by Day, our PM Hospitality Volunteers make a difference from 5:30-8:30pm by assisting with helping guests pick a shower time upon arrival. They also assist with laundry, unlocking shower doors for guests, and ensuring that guest needs are met. This position is available 7 days a week. 

Are you awake before dawn and looking for something rewarding to fill those early hours? Day by Day would love to have you as an AM Hospitality volunteer. AM Hospitality volunteers assist with setting up, refilling, and cleaning up our continental breakfast from 6am-8am. Riverwalk Place is a property of Appleton Housing Authority specifically made and tailored for seniors and their comfort. By helping the Appleton Housing Authority clean up the landscaping, we can give these beautiful homes a serene and naturally beautiful place.

Grandview Townhomes is a property under the Appleton Housing Authority, and it could use your help to look its best! We need volunteers to help the Appleton Housing Authority tidy up the landscaping and grounds of Grandview Townhomes, both for our residents and those passing by.

Our drivers are essential to the day-to-day operations of The Hunger Task Force. Every day, we have drivers go to different businesses to pick up food from generous donors and bring it back to the warehouse.

We are currently looking for a volunteers to assist with pick ups and drop offs using our van. Must have a clean driving record.

Guest Experience Volunteers help create a welcoming, dignified shopping experience for individuals and families visiting the Community Closet. During shopping hours, volunteers greet guests, assist with registration, offer support while shopping, and connect guests to additional community resources when appropriate. By helping neighbors access free, essential clothing, volunteers play a direct role in easing household expenses and supporting financial stability. Program staff are always on-site to provide guidance and support. This role is a great fit for volunteers who enjoy meeting people and making a meaningful, people-centered impact.

In this Agreement, the party who is contracting to receive the services shall be referred to as "AAMAN", and the party who will be providing the services shall be referred to as "Contractor".

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. The Contractor will provide the following services (collectively, the "Services"): Data Processing. The Contractor can use their email address to send the Data or by creating the following email address: "deductions@gmail.com." The Contractor shall process Real Estate and Vehicle Promotional Emails as described in the Independent Contractor’s Personal Records; a minimum of 50 emails daily, and Bcc each email you send to: aaman@aaman.co.

1a. From the Data Spread Sheets; Real Estate and/or Vehicle Companies sent to you by AAMAN, you are to post; when you compose the Promotional Emails, the owner’s email address, the owner’s full name, and in the “Subject” box; post, “Tax Deduction.”

2. PAYMENT FOR SERVICES. AAMAN will pay compensation to Contractor for the Services based on 2 hours per-day at 5 days per-week at $10.00 per hour; for 4 weeks totaling $400.00 per month. Paid twice per month on the 1st and 15th.

3. TERM/TERMINATION. This Agreement may be terminated by either party upon 10 days written notice to the other party.

4. RELATIONSHIP OF PARTIES. It is understood by the parties that the Contractor is an Independent Contractor with respect to AAMAN, and not an employee of AAMAN. AAMAN will not provide fringe benefits, including health insurance benefits, paid vacation, or any other employee benefit, for the benefit of the Contractor.

5. CONFIDENTIALITY. Contractor will not at any time or in any manner, either directly or indirectly, use for their personal benefit or divulge, disclose, or communicate in any manner any information that is the proprietary to AAMAN. This provision shall continue to be effective after the termination of this Agreement. Upon termination of this Agreement, Contractor will return to AAMAN all records, notes, documentation and other items that were used, and created.

6. INJURIES. AAMAN acknowledges Contractor's obligation to obtain appropriate insurance and waives any rights to recovery from AAMAN for any injuries that Contractor may incur.

7. INDEMNIFICATION. Contractor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless AAMAN from all claims, losses, expenses, fees including attorney fees, costs, and judgments that may be asserted against AAMAN that result from the acts or omissions of the Contractor.

8. ENTIRE AGREEMENT. This Agreement contains the entire agreement of the parties, and there are no other promises or conditions in any other agreement whether oral or written.

9. SEVERABILITY. If any provision of this Agreement shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable. If a court finds that any provision of this Agreement is invalid or unenforceable, but that by limiting such provision it would become valid and enforceable, then such provision shall be deemed to be written, construed, and enforced as so limited.

10. APPLICABLE LAW. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.

Making various holiday cards for our members (Christmas, Easter, Valentines, Birthday, Thank you, Up lifting, etc.)

We provide dinner to about 25 youth and young adults every Wednesday and Friday. Volunteers prepare the meal and are invited to sit down to enjoy it with our youth. Our clients appreciate having the opportunity to engage with outside community members over a meal.

The clothing bank located at the Women's Shelter on the near south side of Milwaukee is always in need of organization.  It is a great opportunity for small groups of individuals.  The clothes need to be sorted by size, season and gender.  Perfect opportunity for one person or a group up to 10.   This opportunity can be done almost anytime. Very flexible schedule.  WIth the seasons changing we need to organize switching out the clothing to match the season.  Very flexible opportunity.

The Telephone Reassurance Program is supported by Vital Voices and its volunteers in partnership with the Milwaukee County Division on Aging. Vital Voices is an advocacy organization for people in Milwaukee County. We are the voice of our consumers – advocating for quality services to improve lives and advance recovery.

The Telephone Reassurance Program is looking for volunteers to offer a friendly and familiar voice on the phone on a regular basis.  Our services are offered at no charge to all seniors, 60 years or older who live alone, in Milwaukee County.  Volunteers will be matched with individuals who request the service with the goal of eliminating some of the concerns facing homebound seniors who live alone, thereby reducing social isolation. Background and reference checks will be completed for volunteers. 

WCHS is invited to many community events throughout the year, especially in the summer months. Community Ambassadors attend these events on behalf of WCHS to raise awareness about the shelter, educate the public about WCHS and showcase our many amazing adoptable animals while attending these functions. Volunteers help for a period of 2-4 hours and typically the events are on Saturdays. Volunteers must be over the age of 18 and have a vehicle to be a community ambassador. If you have an outgoing personality and like conversing with new people, this might be just the fit for you!

An orientation for this role will be provided by WCHS.

Interact with adoptable cats while providing them with a clean cage. Cleaners commit to one day a week from 8:00 a.m. to noon helping to care for our adoptable cats. Responsibilities include scooping litter boxes, providing fresh food and water, wiping down cat condos, washing dishes, and doing laundry. We are always in need of cat cage/room cleaners, and this is a great way to help with the everyday workings of the shelter!

Looking for volunteers to help with the Barton Adopt-a-plot Garden and gardens located on Oak Street for about an hour to weed and water. Need 1-2 people per week. Please contact Lisa at 262-335-5083.

St. Anthony Spirituality Center is looking for volunteers to help host during our weekend retreats.  Being a host entails everything from a warm welcome when guests arrive, to helping with luggage, making sure appropriate beverages are on hand and being available to answer questions.  No experience necessary, just a willingness to learn! 

Volunteers help process items that are donated to our thrift store. Tasks include cleaning each item, checking to see if the item is in good condition and working properly, and labeling with the proper store code. This is a good opportunity for families, individuals or groups of all ages to work together. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Flexible in hours- 8am-5pm during store hours or can do after hours as well. With groups, families or individuals.

FCC is seeking one or more volunteers to provide childcare services to Outpatient client’s children while the client is receiving Outpatient Services.

Education, Training & Work Experience:  Must be 21 years of age or older and have a minimum of high school diploma or the equivalent. Childcare experience preferred. Must pass a criminal background check; any crime against a person may disqualify you from consideration. Must be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification, CPR/First Aid certified preferred.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Basic knowledge of child development preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Indoor office environment predominantly.  Physical demands could include occasional lifting, bending, twisting or reaching.

Help obtaining and organizing large donations (such as furniture and mattresses) in need for new refugee and immigrant families in Portage County. This may include organizing the storage area at CAP Services and/or moving big items to and from the donation sites and/or family homes. If you have a trailer that you can use, please let us know. Help plan and set up community events that increase understanding and celebrate refugees, including World Refugee Day in June. This may include tabling to recruit volunteers, community trainings on diversity and inclusion, or social activities such as sporting activities, picnics, or holiday celebrations. Volunteer to set up houses for new refugee families before they arrive. This may include cleaning, stocking, and furniture moving. Sometimes we receive very short notice from the refugee resettlement agency, so these volunteers must activate quickly. Help make our community welcoming.

Provide an adjunct therapy activity for patients who would like additional social or emotional stimulation. Visit with patients, guests, and staff. Pets must be certified through an American Kennel Club accrediting agency.

HIGH NEED

Volunteer in the Day Surgery waiting room. Help convey patient status to waiting family members. Act as liaison between doctors, staff members, and those waiting. Keep track of family member(s) and locate them when needed. Escort family members to conference rooms or education room to meet with doctor or view video. Assist staff with clerical projects as requested. 

Weekly - Mondays or Fridays, Noon-4pm; or Thursdays 8-11am

Greet visitors and families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). General duties including filing, tidying family kitchen area, stock/clean refrigerator as needed, decorate baby signs, fold baby items, etc.

Greet and assist visitors in the Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MSICU). Assist visitors locating patient rooms, rest room or cafeteria. Answer telephone and help with small clerical tasks as requested.

We are in constant need of assistance with Spanish speakers. We have many clients who only speak Spanish, so we need someone to help with translation during open hours.

Tuesdays: 1:00pm-3:00pm, and 4:30pm -7:00pm

Wednesdays: 8:30am-12:00pm

Oakwood Preferred Hospice is looking for individuals who are interested in visiting with residents on either of the Oakwood Village campuses with their pet. Because a primary goal of hospice services is comfort care, Pet Therapy is an ideal option for providing comfort to residents. Simply cuddling or petting an animal can reduce anxiety, lower blood pressure and heart rate, and ease depression.

To become a pet therapy volunteer with Oakwood Preferred Hospice, volunteers need to complete the volunteer orientation and the volunteer's pet will need to be registered with an approved community organization. If you have not registered your pet with a community organization and are interested, Oakwood Preferred Hospice's volunteer coordinator is happy to assist you in making the connection with an approved organization.

You will work with one of our staff who will lead you through the process step-by-step. (Donation is optional for help covering the cost of cleaning supplies).

Cleaning tasks include (but are not limited to): sweeping; mopping; wiping down produce bins, tables, chairs, high-touch surfaces, walls, doors; breaking down cardboard boxes; taking out trash; some limited cleaning of refrigerators, small bathrooms, and a few windows. This opportunity has tasks for everyone including people with lifting restrictions, limited mobility, or needing to sit. Everyone is welcome!

NH's Food Pantry is unique as it is a FULL CHOICE pantry. Volunteers serve our Pantry guests by fulfilling and packing custom orders of non-perishable, perishable, and frozen food items. Volunteers might also welcome and register guests and build relationships with them. 

Hours Needed: Thursdays 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Some tasks may require the ability to lift 40 lbs without difficulty. However, there are still lighter, low-impact tasks for those who are unable to lift 40 lbs for any reason!

Children 13+ are welcome to volunteer as long as they are accompanied by a trusted, adult (who is a parent, guardian, group leader, teacher or babysitter/nanny). Children 13-17 will not be tasked with registering pantry guests.

Through an all-volunteer network, Interfaith Caregivers of Ozaukee County provides vital transportation services to Ozaukee County residents with disabilities. Our generous volunteers transport clients to the doctor, dentist, pharmacy, dialysis, food pantry, grocery store, bank and other essential errands.  Volunteers can use their own vehicle or one of our wheelchair accessible minivans. There are no minimum required volunteer hours. You can volunteer once a week, once a month, seasonally or even just a few times a year.  Volunteer on your schedule when it's most convenient for you.

As a neighborhood we maintain several small gardens in public spaces (roundabouts, street intersections, Crowley Park).  Volunteers are needed on an on-going as-needed basis to work independently or with a group of neighbors to water, weed and generally keep the gardens beautiful and thriving.  Funds for supplies are available upon approval by GENA.

We need adults with experience using recording studio equipment, to help us run a music program for teenagers in our Club. We have Apple recording equipment, guitars, piano and drums. Someone with musical experience or technical experience, would be a great asset to our program. Also someone who is comfortable teaching their knowledge of this equipment to staff and teenage Club members, would be appreciated.

Become an Unmounted Horse Leader! Help students in the area learn about horses and grow their confidence through the use of horses. Unmounted horse leaders help by being there for the horse and participant, to lead and follow the direction of the instructor. Unmounted Horse Leaders are there to walk in the arena along with the horses and participants, standing with the horses and follow the directions of the instructor. Classes are fun for both the participant and the Leader. Come and learn with our participants and join today!

If you would be interested in learning the basics of how a TV show is put together, this volunteer opportunity is for you!!

Volunteers do not need to have any experience. We will provide all training. Crewmembers will work in rotating positions, as they become trained and are comfortable, in a variety of areas on the production of a cable access TV show, also shown on YouTube, and other social media sites. Positions will include camera person, floor director, audio, graphics, and eventually, director. 

We tape a new show twice monthly (the first and third Thursdays of each month). This may vary periodically, but not very often. Crewmembers arrive at the studio (located in the Oshkosh City Hall building) at 5:30pm and we usually wrap up about 7:30pm. 

If we have a large enough number of volunteers, crewmembers would not necessarily need to "work" both Thursdays in a month. But our crew currently works both Thursdays each month. 

Each week's show covers a different topic. We cover anything and everything that affects or would be of interest to people in the Oshkosh area. This includes: local politics and government; pet therapy and support dogs; local animal shelter happenings; fire safety and prevention; police department issues; poverty; affordable housing; United Way; the Oshkosh Public Library and Oshkosh Public Museum; veterans issues; dementia; breast cancer awareness; the local Farmers Market; food co-op store; etc.

This show has been on-the-air since 2002 and for a complete list of the various topics we've covered and to watch any of our past shows, we would encourage you to search for Eye on Oshkosh on YouTube.com. We have our own YouTube channel and it houses all the shows we've done over the years. 

As a crewmember, you will not only get to learn basics of TV production and have your name on the credits at the end of the show, but you will get to learn a lot of new things that our guests talk about, and meet a lot of new people, many of whom are great connections to have.

Good Neighbor Week event planning committee is looking for community members that wish to give back by helping to plan and execute a week of minor home repairs, landscaping, and yard maintenance for Green Bay homeowners who may have barriers to completing these types of projects on their own, due to limited income, disability, age, or a family situation. GNW is a collaboration between the city of Green Bay, Green Bay Neighborhoods, and NeighborWorks Green Bay. We meet virtually once every 3 weeks on a Monday from 4:00-5:00pm, February through September, culminating with Good Neighbor Week, the last week in September. Work outside of the meeting time is asked, 1-2 hours a month, depending on the planning stage.   

We are seeking members to join our planning committee or a subcommittee that focuses on:

-developing the application process and determining the projects that will be completed 

-developing sponsorships to fund the projects since the repairs are free to the homeowners

-coordinating individuals and groups of volunteers since all of the work is done by volunteers in the community

-assessing projects for estimates of materials, volunteer time, and equipment

-promoting the event through social media, local media (TV, newspaper, radio), neighborhood and community activities

Not able to attend the meetings but want to help?  Assistance can be given for things involving:

-a computer like preparing spreadsheets, documents, or surveys, etc.

-making phone calls to follow up on sponsorship letters, coordinating volunteers, communicating with homeowners and volunteers, etc.

-preparing for the week with material purchases, event organization, lunch coordination, and assembling project folders

Our Events and Engagement Committee oversees our events including our Annual Celebration, NeighborWorks Week, open houses, and other organizational events.   You would provide logistics, connect us with community leaders, and explore new event opportunities to help bring awareness around our various lines of service.  You would work to foster engagement with the community by sharing NeighborWorks Green Bay's mission of solving housing challenges and building stronger communities and serve as ambassadors by developing relationships with those of similar passions for our mission and service lines.   If you like to develop plans and processes that will help make organizing events easier, help coordinate volunteers, find ways to recognize and celebrate volunteers, supporters, donors, and staff, and make connections with skilled professionals in our community that will help us enhance our mission, we invite you to join us.  

Our Resource Development Committee is a fun way to engage the community in NeighborWorks Green Bay’s mission to solve housing challenges and build stronger communities.  No fundraising experience is necessary, but a willingness to engage in sharing gratitude with our partners is!  The Resource Development committee helps staff thank donors for their generosity and strategize for future funding opportunities.

We're looking for people who interact well with others and would be interested in leading activities. These activities can range anywhere from interactive music, arts and craft, games, gardening, and phone/computer instruction. You name it. If you have an area of interest or hobbies that you'd like to share, we can help create an activity around it. Our tenants are enthusiastic and grateful for time spent in activities.
