8/25/24 - Veteran escort - assist inpatient Veterans to Car Show

We need more volunteers for Sundays Platoon Run – Car and Motorcycle Show (August 25, 2024)

Volunteers will assist inpatient Veterans from their units to event outside (on campus). Cars and motorcylces will parade onto campus around 1pm. Once parked, the opening remarks will include National anthem and taps by Site7 and military honors by VFW of Tomah. Veterans/community will then be able to wall/roll around and look closer.

1. Volunteers can be regular or occasional.
2. Volunteers will have to be antigen tested (nasal swab) prior to assisting. Testing will be available between 12:00pm-12:30pm in Building 455, Veterans Hall. Please note, you’ll have to wait 15 minutes for results and we’ll start going to units around 12:30 to start escorting so please don’t wait until 12:25 for swabbing.
3. Volunteers will have to wear surgical mask when on inpatient unit, but can take it off when outside.
