The position of Office Volunteer supports CASDA's mission of providing supportive services to individuals hurt by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse as we advocate for a community effort to end violence. The Office Volunteer serves primarily in the front office, answering calls on our help line, and assisting walk-in clients to ensure their needs are met.
Additional Requirements: Office Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., for a minimum of one shift per week. Shifts may vary in length. A three-month commitment is required and a one-year commitment is appreciated. Volunteers must be 18 years of age (16- or 17-year-olds may be accepted with parental permission). Once accepted, volunteers must complete orientation provided by CASDA. Volunteers must have good communication skills, must use appropriate phone skills, and must have either experience with and/or sensitivity towards sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse issues.
