The Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin is hosting an iCan Bike program teaching people with development challenges ages eight to eighty eight to independently ride a two-wheeled bike. This camp will run for one week, August 23 - August 27 at the Columbia St. Mary’s Expo Center (Milwaukee Curling Club) at the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds, Cedarburg, WI. Approximately 80% of the people who participate in this program ride a two-wheel bicycle independently at the end of our five day program!
This program is not possible without volunteers. Volunteers are needed as spotters and provide physical, emotional, and motivational support to their assigned riders. Most importantly, you must be willing to get some exercise for a great cause!
Shifts are available for 90 minutes each day and it is preferable that you be able to attend during the same shift Monday through Friday for the week of August 23-27, 2021. You will be assigned to the same rider each day and celebrate their progress during this week of camp!
