Do you have a few hours each week available to visit with residents of a nursing home or assisted living community?
We are in need of Volunteer Advocates for Brown County (but also have needs in over 30 other WI counties, too!)
These advocates visit a local nursing home or assisted living community, have friendly conversations with residents, inform them about our agency and about how we can help ensure residents' rights, and support and empower residents to voice their concerns they may have.
This volunteer opportunity is flexible. Visits to a volunteer's facility are made weekly and can be done anytime between the hours of 8am-8pm, any day, with no advanced scheduling. A visit typically lasts between 1-3 hours. Completion of a background check is required and training is provided.
No experience is needed - but a caring heart is required!
