A Community Response Volunteer is someone who advocates for survivors and represents the Sexual Assault Recovery Program while out in the community.
By becoming a Community Response Volunteer you will be asked to be an advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. This could include:
- Attending to victims while at the hospital
- Attending law enforcement reports with victimsÂ
- Giving emotional support
- Connecting with victims to services from a Survivor Advocate
This volunteer opportunity is an on-going need. Volunteers pick their own on-call hours.
