Volunteer: Refugee Mentorship ProgramThe mentorship program provides support for newly resettled refugee families by helping them learn basic life skills and adapt to life in the U.S. These life skills can include but are not limited to budgeting and banking, grocery shopping, how to utilize public transportation, and showcasing local resources available to the public. Mentors play a key role in the integration process and can be instrumental in helping the refugee family achieve self-sufficiency. Lasting friendships often develop with this volunteer opportunity. Mentors meet with a refugee family once a week for 1-3 hours over the course of at least 3 months.

Volunteer: Host International Visitors for Dinner!We are looking for individuals with a strong streak of hospitality! Through our International Visitor Leadership Program, we welcome 2-8 groups of delegates into Milwaukee each month. These delegates are upcoming leaders in their home countries, brought to the US by the Department of State to share in citizen diplomacy. Delegates travel to 3-4 cities across the States in a period of approximately 30 days. During their visit, the delegates truly enjoy the chance to sit down for a home-cooked meal with US Citizens. If you are interested in having 1-3 visitors over for dinner during 1 night of their stay in Milwaukee, we would love to work with you!
