Volunteer: Event Coordinator

The EmBark Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides support and services to survivors and their furry friends. EmBark is offering this position so that we can grow in the amount of events, social media campaigns, and fundraisers that we are a part of. This position is highly important as we grow. Through growth of the nonprofit, we hope to turn this position into a paid or work study position.

Duties:

Collaboration with PR specialist on any campaign and campaign development Oversight and management of all volunteers Volunteers will assist on any event or other items that they request Regular communication in collaboration with CCO so that volunteers are up to date on what EmBark is doing - a volunteer newsletter of sorts Physical event planning and delegating tasks to volunteers Can be hosting our own events (~2 events per year) Joining in on an event and coordinating volunteers to be there Partnering with a bar or restaurant for a fundraiser (collaborate with funding associate)



Preferred Qualifications: If a student, be in progress of getting a bachelors or masters degree that is relevant to duties and/or our mission (nonprofit management, business, social work, etc.) Graduate of a bachelors and/or masters in nonprofit management, business, social work or other related fields Organized! Loves to organize and improve structures within a nonprofit! Has experience in systems such as Google drive and Monday.com or willing to learn Have experience in planning events or social media campaigns Strong written and verbal communication skills Comes from a diverse background - BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks STRONGLY encouraged to apply Residence in the Milwaukee area or Madison area (not required as the position is remote) Has a passion for our mission

Volunteer: Chief Operations Officer

The COO is in charge of creating and maintaining partnerships, gathering funds through events, campaigns, fundraisers, and partnerships, and oversight of the chapter supervisor. This position will be essential for the growth and development of EmBark in the coming years. We are looking for someone who wants to work hand-in-hand with the CEO to grow EmBark and benefit as many survivors as possible. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree - preferably a bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, psychology, social work, business, or a relevant field. Master’s degree is a plus. 

If a student, be in progress of getting a bachelors or masters degree that is relevant to duties and/or our mission (nonprofit management, business, finance, social work, psychology, etc.)

Have a passion for service and helping survivors of DV/IPV, sexual assault, and child abuse

Very organized and great communicator 

​Have managerial experience or the ability to delegate tasks efficiently. 

​Come from a diverse background. LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals strongly encouraged to apply!
