Faith United Methodist of Superior at 1531 Hughitt Ave is looking for 1-2 volunteer cleaning persons for a flexible 10-20 hours a week Wednesday through Saturday for cleaning the church. This includes vacuuming, emptying trash, restocking, etc. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Meals on Wheels Delivery with the Ashland County Aging Unit needs people to deliver hot, home cook, healthy meals to our elderly Monday - Friday. Although a reliable vehicle is required, mileage reimbursement is provided. Volunteer one day or all 5, with multiple routes available it’s your choice!

Ashland Historical Society and Iron County Historical Museum are in need of a variety of help to give tours, answer questions and assist visitors as needed, take care of exhibits and much more.

The Center for Independent Living (CILWW) is looking for volunteer drivers for its New Freedom Transportation Program. They will provide rides to medical appointments, shopping, or social and recreational activities.

Must have valid driver's license, good driving record, proof of liability insurance and a clean background check.

Ashland County Aging Unit is seeking office assistance to do shredding, filing, coping, front desk receptionption, etc. during their regular business hours of Monday through Friday 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm at their office in Ashland.

Come help those in need receive food for three to five days with your help. Volunteer at a food pantry to make a difference to those in the community who just can not make ends meet.

Come to the Ashland Community Shelter and taking on interacting with people, answering questions, and working the phones at the shelter.  

Weekday or weekend shifts.  Depending on your schedule.

Color Coordinating Clothing. Organizing donations. Scheduling volunteers. Ringing up customers. All in the days work of a thrift shop volunteer.

For 14 weeks a year, tax preparers help to enter client's data into TaxSlayer, an online tax program provided by the IRS thru the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program or VITA. Come dedicate 1 day a week for 14 weeks to help file taxes. Training is self paced and starts in late November or early December. All preparers are tested to either a basic or advance level. Partnered with an experienced preparer, never work alone until you are ready. Preparers will either met with clients in person every one hour and fifteen minutes or clients will drop off their information so that we can prepare their taxes.

Background checks are required of all volunteers. Training is done both self paced and in person before the season begins.

For 14 weeks a year, greeters will work to answer phones, schedule appointments, answer questions, and help clients with filling out information that is needed for the tax preparer.

All greeters will commit to at least one 4 hour day per week for the 14 weeks of the season. Will work with your schedule and ours to make it best fit for everyone.

Continue to maintain housekeeping at the Ashland Community Shelter by sorting, folding and putting away sheets, picking up the common areas, and just help out in general.
