Opportunities From: Volunteer Wisconsin

Hotline Volunteers are virtual to connecting the community with services and resources available at Defy and Sarp.

We have flexible shifts throughout the week for volunteers looking to be an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Our hotline volunteers provide emotional support, support survivors in crisis, provide resources, and assist clients as needed.

Every volunteer can expect:

Hands-on training Support from volunteer coordinator and staff Indoor volunteer location

This volunteer opportunity is an on-going need. Volunteers pick their own on-call hours.

A Community Response Volunteer is someone who advocates for survivors and represents the Sexual Assault Recovery Program while out in the community.

By becoming a Community Response Volunteer you will be asked to be an advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. This could include:

Attending to victims while at the hospital Attending law enforcement reports with victims  Giving emotional support Connecting with victims to services from a Survivor Advocate

This volunteer opportunity is an on-going need. Volunteers pick their own on-call hours.

We work with a number of Spanish speaking clients in more than one of our programs. It is important to us that our clients feel heard and respected. One of the ways we can show that is to have our documentation in their first learned language. 

We are in need of someone to take some of our documents for victim services and translate them into Spanish.

These documents are manuals, guidelines, policies, and/or victim rights or responsibility paperwork.

Opportunity is virtual and perfect for someone who is looking to volunteer, but needs flexibility.
