Answer phones, create birthday cards, light data entry, assist with client files, light office work in the administrative office, or greet visitors and residents for either Oneida Heights or Riverwalk, elderly residential apartment facilities.

Do you like to work with people one-on-one to achieve their goals? Work with an adult in our community to improve their English language skills so they can understand more at work, read to their child, become a US citizen, participate in the community, and more! Tutors can tutor in-person at a public lo cation or online via Zoom. Pick a schedule that works for you, and we'll find you the right learner. Most matches meet once or twice a week for 1 to 2 hours.

Volunteers must be willing to learn tools that make tutoring productive and fun. The PCLC provides training, materials, and ongoing support. We'll show you have to use a curriculum that fits your learner's language level. Work together to help your learner achieve their goals. In addition to teaching, many tutors express that they learn a lot from their learners.

Volunteer drivers are at the heart of this community service. Volunteers deliver hot meals to over 120 homebound members of our community on a daily basis through the Meals on Wheels Program. Drivers pick up the meals at the hospital and, using their own vehicles, deliver the meals directly to the homes or apartments of the recipients. At each stop, volunteers make a short visit and leave the meal. At the end of the delivery route, all empty containers are returned back to the hospital. Total time involved is about one hour. 

Volunteers are scheduled to help according to their availability. Volunteers may help once a week, twice a month, or on an on-call basis.  Currently we are seeking volunteers to fill regular route openings on Thursdays and Fridays.

Retirees, students, stay at home parents, or anyone with a good driving record, and insured vehicle please consider this opportunity!

Meals on Wheels of Stevens Point is seeking to expand it's pool of substitute drivers for November through April 2019.  By becoming a substitute driver, you will provide a daily safety check and brief socialization for recipients when delivering their hot meals.  ​Drive as little or as much as you would like.

Meals are picked up from the ​hospital between 10:55​ am​ and 11:30 am​ Monday thru Friday.​  ​R​oute​s​ takes approximately an hour​ to complete.​ Turn by turn directions are provided. A valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle​ are required​. Training ​is provided.

Be the difference! Our community needs your help!  Become a Volunteer Driver for the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Sheboygan County. Drive seniors to medical appointments.  Use our vehicle or use your own and get reimbursed $0.51/mile.  Choose your own schedule and whether you would like to drive locally, long distance, or both! Service is offered Monday-Friday, no nights weekends or holidays. You choose the days and hours of availability or be in the general driver pool.

Girls Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes is seeking troop leaders for many schools, grades, and communities throughout the Fox cities, Oshkosh, Waupaca and surrounding areas. Troop Leaders plan and implement activities and mentor girls.  Troops typically meet 1-2 times per month though out the school year.  Meeting time and locations are flexible and can be customized based on volunteer's schedules.  We have many girls who would love to join a troop, and are just waiting for a leader to step forward!

Volunteer drivers provide safe, reliable transportation for individuals who would otherwise miss critical care, helping them maintain their health, independence, and connection to the community. This program supports adults in Outagamie County who do not have access to reliable transportation.

Volunteers use their own vehicles and are reimbursed for mileage. Scheduling is flexible, making it easy to volunteer based on your availability.

Volunteers are needed to assist in caring for terminally ill patients and their families in their homes. Hospice volunteers provide companionship including visiting, listening, or simply being a loving presence.

Volunteers sit with hospice patients providing a supportive presence during their final hours of life, when no family is available to be with them.

Volunteers are needed to assist with bereavement follow-up to family members of patients who have passed away on ThedaCare At Home’s Hospice services. Bereavement volunteers help with administrative projects or lend support and a listening ear to bereaved family members via telephone.

The Outagamie County Mentoring Program works with the youth in the community who need us the most. We match kids with adults who help them out just by being a friend and spending a few hours a month together. A successful match is life changing for both the mentor and mentee! The youth in our program are between 6-17 years old and have been referred by a social worker from Outagamie County Health and Human Services.

With 30 kids currently on waiting list,  we have a great need for more volunteer mentors.  Mentor matches spend a minimum of 4 hours a month together developing a positive and trusting relationship the youth can rely on. Mentors expose youth to new and positive experiences that enhance self esteem and improve social skills. We find that many mentors enjoy getting to be a kid again with their mentee!

If you mentor with Outagamie County, you will receive all the training and support you need to make your match successful. We sponsor several events each year for our matches and also reimburse for mileage.
