With the cold weather in the winter season, our schools have an increased need for clothes and accessories to keep students warm. Help keep our students safe by donating the following high-need items:

With the seasons and trends often changing, our clothing bank is always in need of a refresh. We are looking for a group to come on-site to help us organize the space.

Join our preschool classrooms as a Learning Buddy to participate in regular classroom activities, read, make crafts and more! Age-appropriate books are welcome.

Join the volunteer team at the Jewish Community Pantry which provides emergency food to individuals and families in crisis throughout the greater Milwaukee community. We serve our clients inside our pantry on 29th & Center Street.

Volunteer Positions: assist guests, stock shelves, manage intake, and other tasks on service days (Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings)

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR GROUP REQUESTS: Group requests (3+) need to be made at least 6 weeks in advance of requested volunteer date.  

We welcome groups to host 3rd party events or donation drives to help raise funds and/or collect particular items that we are in need of. Examples may include: bake sales, penny wars, gift card donation drives, toiletry items, bath towels, Christmas presents, etc.

UCC Schools aims to encourage a love of reading and literacy among students of all ages. To do this, we need ample books available for children's home libraries as well as our classroom libraries. You can help by donating gently used books for ages 2-14.

We kindly ask that all books be in good condition and divided by age levels:

Bring comfort and care to our clients on the journey to recovery by gifting them a handmade no-sew blanket. Kits can be found at craft stores and readily available on YouTube. We will take as many as you are able to make!

Do you sometimes receive little odds and ends that you don't want, can't use and usually throw into a closet to collect dust? Did you purchase something on clearance, but now it's sitting in a closet collecting dust? Are you or do you know a business who would be willing to donate their final clearance items to us? Or do you just have some new or gently used items you're clearing out of the house? Please consider donating those new or gently used items to us.

In December 2025 we will hold our 5th Annual Angel Shop where Early Childhood & K4-8th students can shop for family members at $1-$5 a gift for that special someone in their lives. This allows them to be part of the process and spirit of giving. Students learn financial literacy skills, learn to independently shop, and they gain a true sense of pride and accomplishment from participating. We will be collecting items year round for children, teens, adult, and older adults (even Pets!).

So please start putting those bags together with that candle you didn't want or hand soap you can't use or the extra screwdriver set you have lying around, that too small wallet, ties, men's cologne, women's perfume, the adult coloring book that was supposed to be calming, but just isn't, soccer and sports items, baseball hats, etc. Additionally, we are also accepting donations of wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper, scotch tape, gift tags and bows and ribbons.

Volunteer to set up a recruitment event at your place of employment, church, or with your social group or club to promote volunteer opportunities with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee. Recruitment events can be hosting a Lunch & Learn or an informational table in a high volume area. By setting up a recruitment event, you will help Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee connect with a larger audience to promote mentoring and reduce the number of youth waiting for a mentor. Setting up a recruitment event includes coordinating dates with our Recruitment Coordinator, promoting the event to draw an audience, and possibly helping with the event day of.

Please help support homeless youth in the community by making their new homes whole! In our Transitional & Supportive Housing Program, we are able to assist homeless young adults ages 18-24 obtain housing and work on independent living goals with self-sufficiency in mind. Many of our youth enter into the programming with little to no household items and we can only provide this critical resource through the generous support of people like you.

Select this project to organize a workplace or community supply drive to help ensure that the Transitional & Supportive Housing Program is stocked with the household items that make our homeless young adults feel at home.

This project is open to any size group. Even one dedicated volunteer can make a huge difference for us with this project!

The Cathedral Center is a shelter for homeless women and families facing an emergency housing crisis. We are home to 32 women and 8 families for up to 90 days while they work with our case managers to achieve a personal action plan.

Volunteers help us keep things running smoothly and provide the comforts of home through our Hospitality Program!

Groups of 5-8 people sign up to provide a meal which they purchase, prepare, and deliver to our clients on a monthly or semi-monthly basis. Through this program we are able to provide a meal 365 days a year! Our Hospitality Program is great for parish groups, clubs and organizations, corporate groups, and friends and families who want to serve a home cooked meal with a friendly face.

Groups are needed 7 days a week.
