This May, Next Door’s annual Read for Children event returns — and we’re calling on our community superheroes to help power a month filled with reading, imagination, and bright futures for Milwaukee’s youngest learners.
Read for Children highlights the importance of early literacy and provides a boost of resources for early learning in our classrooms and our families’ homes.
Event Goals
- Read to children for 135,000 minutes
- Raise $135,000 for Next Door’s early literacy education
- Collect 1,000 new board and picture books for children ages birth to five.
Support our event through volunteerism, sponsorship, and financial or book donations!
