Northeast Wisconsin Tourette Syndrome Support Group

Who We Are

Our goal, as a support group, is to provide support and guidance to parents of children with Tourette Syndrome. We act as advocates for these children within their schools and provide education on Tourette Syndrome to classmates and educators. We also provide a positive, nurturing environment for Tourette Syndrome children in our area, challenging them to reach for the stars and give back to the community that helps to support them. We have been an active support group for the past four years. We helped a support group in Milwaukee form about two years ago and in Madison about six months ago. Our two co-leaders currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Tourette Syndrome Association - Wisconsin Chapter.

What We Do

We are one of three support groups that are under the Tourette Syndrome Association - Wisconsin Chapter. The other two are located in Milwaukee and Madison. We have monthly support group meetings, with education for parents, and social activities for the children. We also have an on-line support group that provides support 24/7 for families dealing with Tourette Syndrome. We hold two fundraisers each year, our annual Tourette Syndrome Awareness weekend (Bullfrogs baseball game and a 5K event) and a Holiday party. We also hold other activities throughout the year (example: waterpark weekend, Random Acts of Kindness day, summer picnic, etc.)
