Who We Are

The mission of the Eau Claire County Humane Association is to be a voice for all animals by providing education, resources, and support for the community, compassionate care for homeless animals until they can be placed in forever homes, and coordination with other organizations to promote animal welfare. The Eau Claire County Humane Association was established in 1968. Since the establishment of the ECCHA, an estimated 35,000-60,000 animals have been adopted, returned to their owners, or placed in foster care/rescue facilities. Our current location has the capacity to care for 200 cats, 50 dogs, and other animals from pocket pets to agricultural.

What We Do

The Eau Claire County Humane Association is a non-profit agency completed funded by donations, memberships, bequests, and fundraising. We are here for the welfare of all animals in need. We are an open admission facility caring for any type of pet until a forever home is found. We are a resource to our community by providing education on responsible pet care and all topics related to animal welfare. Our programs range from adopting, volunteering, fostering, low income assistance for pets, education outreach, and helping control the pet overpopulation.
