Who We Are
Our Mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
What We Do
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin is a youth mentoring organization that matches children facing adversity with an adult volunteer. Children and volunteers meet for an average of 1 hour per week. There are 2 different programs that we serve children through: Community-Based Mentoring - The child and volunteer meet on evenings and weekends when it works for both of their schedules. They participate in activites out in the community such as: shooting hoops, going for a walk, watching a movie, going to a baseball game, etc. Site-Based Mentoring - The child and volunteer meet at a set date and time each week at the child's school over lunch, or at another site after school. They meet for about 1 hour per week and participate in activities at the site, such as: playing games, sharing stories, playing catch, etc.
