Who We Are

Action Alliance strives to provide drug-free alternative activities for Langlade County youth. This coalition was formed in 1992 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to have a positive impact on youth in our community. Action Alliance of Langlade County is the local chapter of Action Alliance for a drug-free Wisconsin.

What We Do

Action Alliance aims to enhance the well-being of youth, families, and institutions in our community by increasing awareness of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use and abuse issues. The work we do and events we hold typically fall into one of six categories: substance abuse prevention, underage drinking prevention, drunk/drugged driving prevention, alcohol use intervention/treatment, positive youth development, or asset development. Several groups from our community have a representative at the table and we support their drug-free educational or developmental programs. These groups include: city and county law enforcement, AVAIL, Boys and Girls Club of Langlade County, Department of Social Services, Health Department, UW-Extension, Unified School District of Antigo, and Northcentral Healthcare.
